to stop persons unknown

I need advice on spells to stop a person unknown. This person is a scammer and using an alias of a well known person that I don't wish to inadvertently harm. They are bleeding a close friend dry of money and sense, they totally believe the lies and are sending money. Am I looking at a truth, open the eyes or stop the scammer spell. Instead of using a spell, I'd just report them to the police. If you have proof that they are scamming people out of money and using a stolen identity, the information can be taken to the police and they can arrest and charge the individual accordingly.

I doubt they said they can't help because I'm a police officer myself. In most cases, we need the victim to come and make a formal complaint. From there we will get the banks to lock all your accounts so that no transactions can be made. We then get a court order to start investigating and catch the scammer. Another option is to contact an attorney and we go from there.
