I've just moved into my third shared flat, so I haven't gotten around to cleansing and warding it yet. I will soon, though. I've been in here for less than 24 hours and already I've had knocking on my door, always two knocks, three times since I woke up this morning and twice the evening before.
This double-knock occurred in both flats I previously lived in before I cleansed and warded my bedroom. It sounds exactly the same in each place and whenever I answer the door nobody is there, the hallway is empty. It did it in my family home, too, though it would often be more violent and on the front door or the walls.
Once I've cleansed and warded, it's fine. But the fact this spirit seems to be following me, despite my cleansing and protection, disturbs me. When I visit friends' houses and stay there for a few days, I've also experienced knocking.
I'd like whatever this entity is to stop following me. I know they can be stopped because they go away once I banish them from my new space, but they always come back once I've moved on. Any advice?
If this spirit bothers you I suggest not interacting with it even if it is harmless. Interaction peaks interest in things like this. When things of this nature have happened to me in the past I usually shield myself as well as my home and put a personalized protective sigil above the door of my dwelling. A protective amulet also can help.
If the spirit is truly not aggressive, then it will leave when you ask. If it becomes aggressive, it needs to be dealt with using some form of prayer or cleansing. In my practice, talismans and salt seem to work the best. I wear an ankh at all times(silver), but if you cannot afford something like that, a blessing on protective stones and some sigils could offer protection. The symbol of the Valkrie, the symbol of Awen, or Vegvisir. Salt is also a good repellent if you need added safety!
