I have tried exerting my energy outward to visibly see my aura, And make it flow.. Anyways as I try to do it as calmly as I can with a peaceful yet focused mind, as soon as I come close to seeing such I get tired and dizzy only to lose focus and feel exhausted.
Is this normal?
Or am I basically forcing myself into a false mindset? (Which normally leads to me falling alseep.)
Can anyone explain to me what is happening, and if at all what I am doing wrong?
Let me see if i can shed some light on this for you, first let just start by saying your not going to get huge results as a beginner, its a rarity i hear of people successfully using this method without knowledge, practice, and serious patience, so be patient. I am not getting into the aura i will let someone else do that. I just want to touch base with you and hopefully give you some useful advice.
To make a flow you have to understand energy and of course flow, most of us got a course in energy types in the 8th grade and up, showing us there are different types of energy in this universe and beyond. We know energy is never destroyed it just transfers and in fact there are roughly ten types of energy, but were only going to focus on a couple as i am not trying to bore you.
Potential energy literally is defined as being any of the ten types that can be stored. As casters we use this to our advantage as we attempt to store energy in our inanimate objects and bodys, this helps get our intent/manifestation in the universe. Sound is also another form of energy, and we do use our words to chant out the intention of the spell, not all of us as its unnecessary, but a good chunk of us.
Now lets take this home, you need to learn grounding and centering if your going to mess with energy or you going to be winded all the time. Real focus can actually drain you if you dont know what your doing, and you may be trying to hard. There is a basic's thread and i seriously suggest studying that and being practical with its information, they were put up for a reason. Visualization is going to be your best friend, it allows your mind (in my terms) blueprints to what is happening, it is logical and effective to understand what your doing before doing it.
Lastly, there are so many ways to attract energy without the hardship, i firmly believe you don't even hardly need to do anything. IF you understand how energy is attracted, how it works, and what it is. Which honestly that's only going to increase your chances of success anyways. So relax your not doing anything wrong, your simply trying to hard, take a step back, relax, and learn what energy is. Just don't make it harder then what it actually is, and please acquaint yourself with the basics system, its there because it works and it will save you the trouble of what to do next. Message me if you need any more help.

Seeing auras is prettycool, but I agree that you may be pushing yourself a bit to hard to do it.
When I was taught to look for auras, I was told to be calm and grounded, and not to cross limbs over each other because the energy is more open and flowing when they are not tangled. I was told to un-focus my eyes and look at the subject's head and shoulders for a color.
I did sort of get results from this method, but they were faint at best.
What I have found works best for me is relaxing very deeply and feeling all of my own energy first. This can be anything from temperature to emotion to movement. Just any form of energy that I can feel within myself. After that, I sort of reach for the energy around me and try to feel that. Sometimes there is a breeze or change in temperature, but most of the time it just feels like a light buzzing or static in the background that usually just goes unnoticed. Then I reach out to try and feel for the energy of whomever/whatever it is I am trying to read. If it's a person, the energy is not strictly limited to their head and shoulders, though that is a good place to look for it. With objects, it's a bit harder to find because they don't exert their own energy, rather they simply reflect the energy they have picked up over time.
Auras aren't very bright exactly. At least not when you first see them. They don't look like light emanating from a person. At first they really just sort of look like displacement, like the air around that person for several inches isn't entirely transparent. That is an aura, and you won't always see color the first time you try. Colors become clearer with practice, and some are brighter than others, but as I said before, if you are expecting to see a bright light surrounding someone, you are going to be sort of disappointed.
It may be more difficult to see one's own aura. I've never really tried that with sufficient results to be honest. I can kind of se it around my hands if I look, but looking in a mirror for it has never proven useful. Personally, I would start with trying to se it around other people, but that's just me. Best of luck to you, and I hope this sort of answered your question.
