Needing a break?
By:
I read....a lot. I read a lot of books about wicca, paganism, crystals, spells, so on and so forth. I try to alternate between a religious book and a "just for fun" book. But lately I'm completely burnt out and tired and just want to read books that take me away from reality at the moment.

I feel like I'm being lazy and not studying but I also feel like if I force my studies, I'm going to continue down the path of being burnt out.

Any suggestions?

It's totally fine to take a break from practicing. No witch needs to constantly be learning day in and day out, and the gods know that you must take care of yourself. I reccomend having a self care sesh and diving into a book you've been dying to read for a while. When you feel less exhausted, you can come around to your practice.
Put your mental health first and try not to drain your energy while learning! There's plenty of time, and no guilt in doing what you like.

I agree here. If you need a break, take one. That way you can be recharged and ready to go for more study and/or practice. :D

Hello ElektraWolf, with thirteen years under your belt you are (or should be) adept in your practice. No wonder why you are bored, the topics you're reading about are meant for beginners. Books are great for reference and research but they shouldn't be anyone's main source of knowledge. Evoke deities and extradimensional intelligence to get you're information from the source. Utilize the astral plane, the akashic records and meditation. It makes no sense to waste your precious time reading about crystals and plants when you can tap into them and communicate directly. Get yourself out of the rut of reading, invest that time face to face with your studies and you'll be a lot happier x.

Nothing wrong with a break! It will keep you from being burnt out and will make your studies fresher to you

Maybe try something darker...like satanic bible/magick books,or the nekronimikon just because you read/study it doesn't mean you have to practice it any kind of knowledge is power...
