Dorm mates and Paganism

Hey, so I've been adjusting to the College Witch lifestyle, however, the part of living with a roommate still needs some getting used to. Recently, she's been playing those 'fake' demon summoning games like Charlie Charlie or Bloody Mary and I'm extremely worried about the type of energies it could be bringing in. Because of her behavior, I have been cleaning twice a week when she has an early class. I haven't told her anything about my religion because I don't know how she'd take it. Is there anything I can do or say and how can I better protect against negative energies on a college-kid budget?

Hello LilyD, if this is a recent behavior she's likely embracing Halloween. In the meantime, you can ask her politely to not play these types of games in your dorm. Explain you believe these games attract negative energy and you don't want that in your sleeping quarters. This is not an unreasonable request, a lot of people from all different backgrounds would be uncomfortable with what she is doing. Salt absorbs negative energies and it's relatively cheap, put a bowl of salt (sea or rock are best) under your bed. Reap the bounties of the holiday by asking your deceased loved ones to protect you during this time. Make a simple altar by placing pictures of your loved ones, a candle and some offerings (candy, flowers or anything they liked when they were alive). Light the candle before bed, spend a moment to tap into their protective energies. Have a chat, catch up, give thanks, then proceed to blow out the candle and repeat each night x.

Is there an alternative I can use for the candle? I can't have any in my dorm.

You don't even need the candle but can make do with the other suggestions Hexting made. Or if you want a candle for light, there are those that are battery-operated that will give the ambiance you want without the open flames you aren't allowed to have.
