The short answer is yes. There are even binaural beats made specifically for astral projection, just try a google search for "binaural beats astral projection". Best of luck!

Even under ideal conditions, studies have shown no difference in mental state between using binaural beats versus non-distracting ambient music. What helps while using the 'binaural beats' music is more that it raises the noise floor enough to drown out other audible distractions; whether the music is a constant drone or hum, or pure-sin tones, or if it is actual music.

The claim behind binaural beats is that the dissonance between the left and right channels of audio create that 'beat' in the person's brain, and the brain will synchronize the brain waves to that beat. That has not been demonstrated in any study.

Additionally, there are sites dedicated to binaural audio, as well as videos posted on hosting sites such as YouTube, which will claim that different brain waves will serve the same purpose, all contradicting each other. This alone demonstrates there is no validity in the claims that binaural beats help in any function whatsoever, any differently than well-intonated music without the dissonance between the left and right channels.

With further research, there are studies done, but they have contradictory results. I have included a few links showing both sides of the debate.

Here is a link to an article that shows both sides, from the site "PubMed Central(PMC)" which is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM):

Link- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4428073/#B1

I actually have found a few studies on how binaural beats help with relieving anxiety and help with relaxation, which would help with astral projection. Below are two of the studies that support the use of binaural beats with links.

The first study I will link to was presented at the International Ambulatory Surgery Congress in Seville, Spain on the 26th of April, 2005. This study speaks about pre operative anxiety and how binaural beats may help with that.:

Link- https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1365-2044.2005.04287.x#t1n4

This next link is to a study that was conducted by Dr. Vincent Giampapa, a previous president of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine (about halfway through the article):

Link- https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320019.php

I have also found links that do not support the idea of binaural beats.

This link is also to the site PubMed but to a different article and a very different point of view about whether binaural beats work:

Link- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17388762

As you can see, there is a lot of contradicting information on the subject of binaural beats and how they may effect the brain. There is a lot more research that needs to be done by the scientific community on the subject. I suggest to anyone interested in this to research and come to your own conclusion. Or better yet, if you are curious if they will help you to astral project, give binaural beats a try and see if they help you specifically or not.

Hard to top how Miss Rabbit put it. So I will add from my personal experience since she has the technical aspect covered pretty well. Binaural beats are something that works for me. I also use ambient and various meditation music.

They do not work the same for me. The vibrations of binaural beats help me raise my consciousness or flip a switch, so to speak. All manner of instrumental music relax me but do not produce the same effect.

It's also good to keep in mind that what works for someone will not work for everyone. How one person achieves projection or altered states varies. Some articles will recommend doing so in the morning. That has never helped me.

Some use relaxing tea or scents or even hold a gemstone to aid them in their journey. The fact that these things don't work for everyone does not make them invalid. Them not working for everyone can be a big part of contradiction. Binaural beats can be used as a therapy technique. Not everybody responds well to certain kinds of therapy.

I have used binaural beats and find it far more productive depending on what I'm doing. I mostly work with manifestation and quite frankly, it really helps to channel what I consider the grid. To my its as important as OM - here are its frequencies
The Six Solfeggio Frequencies include:
1. UT – 396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear
2. RE – 417 Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change
3. MI – 528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles
4. FA – 639 Hz – Connecting/Relationships
5. SOL – 741 Hz – Awakening Intuition
6. LA – 852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order

Binaural Beats are based on the brain's waves (I work with Theta Waves for manifestation) here is a link to understand

Hope this helps

I can say that from personal experience bineural beats postively impact my experience in the sense that it helps me calm my mind and focus on getting into the necessary state of mind

this in combination with visualization and breathing techniques work best at giving you faster results

but be cautious when projecting,
some quick rules of thumb:

1)Keep your emotions well under control. try not to get excited or do too much in your first experience, it will instantly wake you up and that is discouraging

2)NO NEGATIVE THOUGHTS... they attract negative entities that will feed off of your fear but not to worry
because they cannot actually possess you... protect yourself by imagining a bubble of golden light around you and your body.

3)To move around the astral plane you need to do something kinda weird.... think of the place you want to go to, see yourself there and you will move there. its almost like teleporting but you move as you think
So imagine yourself floating in any direction and you will start moving in that direction

4)when you are finished or want to wake up you simply need to tug on the cord/rope/string the extends from your stomach (close to your sacral chakra) and goes directly to your body....dont be afraid if another entity tugs it for you ( your spirit guide will be with you without you realizing it) your guide will tell you when you are ready to experience certain things in the astral plane and they will decide when you NEED to wake up

5)You control most of your experience through your emotions..... Positivity will allow you to see only positive entities and communicate with them

6)Your astral body is able to travel interdimensionally(between dimensions) raising your vibrational frequency allows you to do so...
