Spirit guides question #2
By:
So I posted a question about contacting my spirit guide(s) about a month agoge. Well, I’ve tried contacting them a few times since then. I tend to do it contact them using my pendulums and runes. Anyways, this time I’m just wondering if it’s possible to sense, communicate, or possibly even fuse with them while you’re awake and not even trying to communicate with them. For me it’s usually when I’m tired. I get this rush of what feels like a cross between lightning and spiderwebs. The same thing used to happen when I was a kid and before I started practicing witchcraft. But back then it would last for maybe 1 or 2 seconds and then nothing. Now it can last for a few minutes and sometimes I get a flash of someone/something and I think it might be my spirit guide (or at least one of them I’m still not sure how many I have), it can also change my mood sometimes to (it’s usually when I’m tired or board and then suddenly I have a burst of energy). I’m just wondering if this could be a spirit guide?

It may or not be your guides; that is completely up to you to decide.

I do have one warning about this search: Beware abstraction. If you are seeking to communicate with whatever your interpretation of your guide(s), then their response or initiation of contact will be communication, and not some random sensation. Seeking odd experiences as communication could lead away from seeking one's guides, and away from seeking any insight which may be offered.

Moving on, you've mentioned some thing which indicate you're not quite sure what it is you're seeking. There's nothing wrong with that, as it's a way to learn! Guides exist differently depending on belief. The possibility of merging intrigued me, as there are traditions which believe a spirit guide is an aspect of the self, which some call the higher self. They believe it is the aspect of the mind which is best able to communicate with the abstractly metaphysical, the spiritual, and what some will describe as the 'higher' spiritual things -- the latter expressing a belief that it is a part connecting to the 'white light' and purely positive aspects. I do not necessarily go that far, but if a guide is an aspect of the mind, then of course your own consciousness will have your best interests in mind.

Communicating with one's guides is not often a direct and fast experience. Rather there is a learning process. Some traditions hold that it is the lifetime goal, which many may never achieve. I don't necessarily believe this either, but it is a demonstration of process. Many people seeking to communicate with their guides find initial contact between themselves subtle. Often, that contact is asking the guides to let the person know they are there. The results are a matter of opinion and belief, but it's the basic equivalent of asking for a sign. Some people will interpret a bird's song as that sign. It just depends on the individual's interpretation.

Some people rarely 'hear back' from their guide(s), but often speak to them.

Eventually, communication may be established. But it must be understood that the communication might not be in the way expected.

If you're trying to communicate via divination, runes or tarot may be more productive than a pendulum at first, as the pendulum may reflect more your outward desires than any response of the subconssious, superconscious, or higher self. With practice and time, this may well change. But with something like runes or tarot, asking the right questions will help gain the right answers.
