If someone simply told you there was a spell on you they may be incorrect or purposely misleading you depending on the source of the information. Assuming this spell exists and you are not being harmed by it it seems pointless to remove it. The lack of knowledge concerning the spell is concerning as knowledge of something is always best if you want to properly deal with it. If it is a spell for desire and you feel you desire someone unnaturally simply ignore it. In the end I believe you give a spell its true power and if you do not want it to then it will not control you. HUmans were blessed or cursed with free will depending on your point of view, and no mortal can take that away from you.
