I'm kind of scared. I first saw a dear, asked it and it ran away. I then saw a fairy, I was asking it, but I didn't get an answer. While I was walking through I kept seeing this thing in a black cloak with a deer skull, I was afraid to ask but as I walked out, I asked and he nodded yes. I asked him if he's the same thing I've seen since I was 3, he nodded yes. The thing I've seen since I was three is a demon. Is my spirit guide a demon?
I know it's a demon because as a kid, even sometimes still he shows me his true form. He also changes his form, this is a form I've never seen before, but I can't get it out of my head.
DragonFairy, firstly, are you certain you have an animal totem? There are a lot of misleading sources which insist everyone has, or must have one, or must find theirs. This is not the case. But if it is your own conviction, then do not hesitate in your practice.
Spirits may present themselves in many different ways. Just because something appears in a way does not make it necessarily evil. Sometimes an entity which chooses to reveal itself may do so in a more or less pleasing manner, which does not make it malevolent. That said, I would still suggest approaching with caution. Not everything is always honest.
You say this is an entity which you have seen since childhood. That alone does not make it a demon; it could be one of your guides. Like I said, test the spirit to find its intention. After all, 'demon' is simply derived from the Greek for 'spirit.' Not everything is good, or evil, or somewhere in the middle.
He won't follow me into certain churches. I went to a church where I felt an evil presence, and it would always be with me, especially when we went to the youth room, which was in the basement. Next to the Youth room there was an indoor basketball court, which was accessible through the garage on the other side, and was never locked. A few times we'd walk in there and saw pentacles and other things of wicca. However, it was a darken form of the craft. A few times we saw a rat or a cat. There was evil in that church and he'd be there with me. But when I felt a church had light in it, he wouldn't come in, I remember asking him to join, but he said he wasn't allowed. My youth pastor and his wife would catch me sometimes and asked who I was talking to, but because of my age they saw it as an imaginary friend.
The energy I feel when he protects me, isn't of the light, I feel as though it is dark.
Me personally, I believe not all demons are evil. They're just angels with free will, some choose to use their free will for darkness, but some use it to protect others and the earth. While they do have darker energy; due to them not agreeing with God.
Hey, I'm fairly new to white magic but I've always been interested in spirits. I've done some research over the years and if this entity is in fact harmful there are a few ways you can get rid of it such as smudging or exercisims. But let's put that aside for now. When it comes to things such as demons there are a number of traits that should throw up a red flag. For instance, has this spirit ever released a bad smell (usually the smell of rotting meat, rotting eggs, or sulfur)? Has it ever gotten violent? If so was the violence aimed at you or someone/something else? At any point in your life have you felt depressed or like you were alone and no one (would) believe you if you were to/die tell them about the spirit? Furthermore, see how it reacts to certain things. Try to cleanse your home with sage, incense, candles, and/or essential oils. If you have any crystals/stones/gems that are known for being good spiritual protectors try to place them in different areas of your home and if you have any that are small enough to carry around then try carrying it with you. Also, if you are desperate to get more info from it (name, spirit type, etc.) try asking.
**WARNING!**: If this is in fact a demon you are dealing with, then asking it things like its name can be very dangerous (once you know a demon’s name it means you have the power to banish it). So make sure to take extra precaution when doing this.
Things you will need:
1. Find a place to talk to the entity other than where you live (in case it is a demon you don’t want it inflicting any damage to your home)
2. Have someone with you that you trust
3. Lots and lots of salt (salt circle= protection [stand/sit/kneel] )
4. A symbol that means something to you (religious, spiritual, etc. holding said symbol up to them is like pointing a weapon at them)
5. Cumin (mixed with salt to create barriers, spread around your home to ensure the entity doesn’t follow you back inside [especially if it is a demon, if it's safe then you can just vacuum/sweep it up] )
6. Horehound (protective circle add layer to salt circle)
7. Mandrake (Very protective but highly toxic [do not consume or let your skin touch it] . I’d recommend getting some pre-made mandrake incense from a store to burn after talking to the demon to ensure your safety)
8. Oil of Abramelin (cinnamon, myrrh, and galangal measured in equal parts. Add to protective circle)
9. Sage (burning to cleanse aria after talking)
10. Cell phone (if the entity is a demon and you angered it and can not take care of it yourself call a professional demonologist immediately)
I'd recommend that if you decide to confront the entity head on to do some more research into how to handle this kind of situation. I hope I was able to help and as I keep saying, if you try talking to it, protect yourself as much as possible incase things take a turn for the worst.
On one hand as it has never harmed you I would like to think this entity means you no harm, but I do not like the fact it stated it was not permitted to enter a place that many consider holy or sacred. The idea that this entity be it demon or something else could not enter a church that was actually devoted to the light causes some warning bells as I would think a truly good entity would be able to enter despite their plane of existence.
@Mandi, I've had depression all my life, and the form I remember mostly, it's true form, he kind of looks like a humanoid dinosaur. I remember being obsessed with dinosaurs for a GREAT portion of my life. I don't want to 'get rid of him', he's done me no harm.
@Wind a creature shunned by God wouldn't be aloud in his house. I don't believe all who oppose God, are evil, even though are are deemed of dark light by him, doesn't mean they're evil. It's just my opinion.
