I'm new to wicca and magic. I really don't know where I'm going with it necessarily, though I've always been drawn to it. I'm in college now and I'm trying to pursue what I think is best for myself all around: developing my artistic talents, cutting out toxic people in my life, focusing on my school, and finding my spiritual path. I believe that path lies with wicca, and I'm looking for ways to learn about it.
I've known about SoM for a long time now, but I haven't really made use of it before. I'm hoping I'll be able to find some guidance here. Thanks
Welcome to Spells of Magic! What I think is a good starting book on Wicca (and covering other subjects briefly) is Essential Wicca by Paul Tuitean and Estelle Daniels, though it talks about Neowicca as well as covering some aspeccts of Traditional Wicca. If you want traditional, then you'll want to see about joining a Wiccan coven. If you don't mind self initiation in the form of Neowicca, then you can simply read around and do what suits you best.

I have been Wiccan for over 30 years and High Priestess of my own coven (real-life) and now a Wiccan Tradition since 1996. I am always happy to point those new to Wicca at good resources to learn from or to answer specific questions about Wicca that you might have. Here's a couple of threads you might want to look at in getting started
