As from your other post; you are obviously a fan of Star Trek.
I'll let you into a secret. It's a TV show. It's not real! Neither is Star Wars; that's just a movie!
There is no way to create a lightsabre with magic; however, you might look into the science and engineering behind making one. It is, after all, a form of lazer technology.
If you are looking for a spell to create a lightsaber, it may be theoretically possible, but practically impossible to do. The reason for this is that although matter has often been referred to as frozen energy, the sheer amount of energy that you would need is beyond almost everyone's ability and aura. If you were going down this path, you are better off capturing and storing energy in gemstones of a staff, sword or any other tool that you prefer, and after an extended period of time (which you should be able to feel and 'just know') you will be able to create something from (seemingly) nothing. Another possibility is that you could project energy in the shape of the beam, which you could do by raising the energy and forming it.
I wish you good luck, and hope that you don't die by overtaxing yourself, which creating something may do.
bbdoron, surely you jest. The amount of energy required to be expended to do what you describe is incredibly immense. Science cannot do so in a controlled manner, in part because of the sheer amount of energy necessary at a point in space.
Yes: they can calculate mass 'lost' as in converted to energy in the course of a nuclear reaction, but cannot yet directly convert matter into energy. The opposite is but a pipe dream at this moment.
The human body, if all neural energy at once is used -- that is to say the person literally dies because every bit of neuro-electrical impulse is sapped, rendering every nerve impulse stopped, it might be enough energy to turn the starter motor for a small car's engine, for maybe a second or two. And again, it would require every bit of nerve impulse, leaving none for any bodily function.
There is simply no comparison between the two. I'm sorry to disappoint you and ruin a childlike fantasy.
