Is this spell okay?

Hey guys, this is my first post her so sorry if it's in the wrong thread or something.

I wanted to make a simple spell, by getting an item that's important to me, cutting it into pieces, burning it and then put the ashes into a pendant to wear around my neck, does that sound okay?

The item is a train ticket.

What you suggest will have no magical effect. But if it will give you comfort in a sentimental way, do it! Many people would have such a pendant with a photograph, lock of hair, etc.

I think it would have a magical effect if you cast a protection spell on the pendant after you made it. good luck.

Well, I would use something with more value. A photograph, a prized possession, maybe something from the person you are casting a spell on, etc.. Although, you should not cast spells if you are a beginner. They are dangerous. Good luck!
