I have heard of skin walkers, they are a native american legend about people who can turn into any animal they desire, i have only had one significant spirit/ demon experience in my life. It was the middle of the night and i woke up, wich is unusal as im a deep sleeper, and i heard a low growl that literally sounded like thunder. I glanced down at the foot of my bed i saw a small black mass, im not talking like a shadow black, this was solid black like. it's hard to explain but it was like the enitre being was just solid black and i could make out the shape and some features before a huge white flash ran across my wall and straight into it and then it was gone. I have tried to rule out the possibilities, a cars headlights hitting the window as it drove past would have landed on the wall at the other end of the room, it was not storming that night so that thunder might have been a growl. im not saying there isnt an explanation for this but its my experience. Also im a huge fan of the unknown too, i recomend watching Lost tapes on Animal planet.

According to Njavo mythology,Skinwalkers are people which can transform into an animal

I'm sure you know what spirits and Demons are so I won't explain these

If you want to encounter a Demon,I'd recommend studying Demonology, find a Demon which you really feel a connection to and study as much about them as possible, then you may summon them

Also Demons are not all evil as Hollywood potrays them

I'd recomend studying more about real spirits and Demons and then summoning them

Curious about skinwalkers, spirits, demons, and creatures that aren't supposed to be real"

Skinwalkers, werewolves, and shape-shifters are not physical. A man turning into an animal has too many hudles in terms of biology and the laws of physics to do so.

Rather, these concepts derive from shamanistic practices and magic; entering trance and wearing animal parts/masks to invoke the spirit of the animal to enter you, sending your spirit/etheric/astral body out in the shape of an animal, and the last and probably the least likely, possessing an animal by sending your spirit into it.

Whether you're talking about Navaho Skin-walkers, the Booger Dogs of the Ozarks, Livonian wolf cults, the European werewolf, the streghe of Italy who changed into owls, you see many similarities. Almost always does the person knowingly change their shape with an spell, trance, entheogenic substance, or a combination. This is opposed to the hollywood idea of a curse from a bite.

Often this goes hand in hand with the fact that witches almost always are these individuals. Certain metals repel the etheric form, typically silver or cold iron, so this does have some foundation, as well as protection charms and spells.

As for demons & spirits; demons are a type of spirit in more Abrahamic classifications of spiritual ecology. Do spirits exist? I certainly believe so, I work with them in my practice and paradigm. Practically every culture has spirits in some way or form.

I know you have to approach everything with a skeptic mindset but it's strange that so many people will make similar stories up. I understand the few who exaggerate the stories but the simple ones? I don't get what they would gain by making up a story. Oh wow this is the first time anyone has told me to get into demonology..I've been interested in studying it but I have this fear that the more curious I am about a entity they'll notice and show themselves. Which is what I want..but I worry about putting my cat in danger lol. Either way I'm definelty going to travel and try to encounter these beings. It's all I want to do in life!

Demons aren't bad like how Hollywood potrays them and I doubt they'll harm your cat, however its important to study them as you would with any other creature before working with them

I'd recomend researching Goetia demons

Snnnakie, I think you should create a new forum post for that, as this thread is not only old, but from a completely different topic.

I know this post is old but I have to touch up on a few things. First of all I find itvery amusing that skin walkers Isput in the same category as werewolves and vampires. There are fourvery different path you can take amongstthe dinepeople. Dine (die-knee) most know as Navajo a name that was given to them by the Spaniards meaning horse thief and is considered disrespectful among most of them and others just chalk it off as ignorance. One of the path is witchery and the people gave them a nick name that translates into skin walker due to the types of ways they do with magic like cannibalism, necrophilia, and donning the skin of the dead. Like all Native American practices is passed down from generation to generation since nativeAmericans do not have a written language it is not available to out siders. If your wondering what the other three are it's sorcery, wizardry, and frenzy. I myself all of the frenzy path that focuses on but not limited to charms.

I agree ^

I must say though, While I can sympathize with what of some of you guys say, I cannot agree with how you shunt things to the side, with things such as werewolves, vampires etc. I can understand fluffiness and wanting to be those things, while not being able to, But I also think there are things out in the world that we cannot even begin to comprehend and/or understand.

No matter how I put this, my words will always be warpped by others. Ignored, marked as crazy stupid etc. But I am going to say it anyways.

While we may be advancing in our studies and broadning our knowledge on things such as medicine and searching / exploring the stars. We are very narrow minded when it comes to our past, our legends and myths. While I cannot prove that such things exist, I cannot disprove, as All myths and legends have a ring of truth. And may I remind most of you that we are witches and wizards sitting here chatting about myths not being true, while magick and our studys are believed to be a part of these myths.
