  • MAGICK INTRO

Magick is a manipulation of energy to fulfill one cause or desire. Energy is all over us and anyone trained to sense it can do so. Magick you see is for everyone. Some people are more lucky than others and have a sensitivity regarding energies without having to work to achieve that but no matter what anyone can work his/her way into this. As long as they are dedicated to this and work hard for it.

Magick is always bounded between the laws of sciense. No you cant levitate or turn into anything mythical or anything really that breaks the laws of sciense. Thats cause magick doesnt work in a way that changes physical appearances like eye colour. It works its way through energies and it is subtle. it only gives a push towards the act.

There is the threefold law that say harm noone and whatever you do it will come 3 times on you. Well some believe it some dont. I persopnally dont. I believe that for those that they believe it is true, it is indeed cause they make it real through their strong energy of belief on it. While those who dont believe in it for the same reason dont suffer from its consequences. But every belief is respected.

For many religion is also tied up with their magickal practises and summon energy from their gods or ask for their guidance and support in their path. Gods should always be respected even if they are not part of our personal belief system.

Herbs and crystals are used to enchance the result of their desired spell ot potion or ritual. They have big amount of energies that can be released cause of their strong connection to nature. They should be used wisely and after having learned about them and their properties first.

Magick is a way of life for most. A part of themselves they cant be complete without. If someone wishes to learn he should devote time and love in it. Should start from the basics and slowly develop since no tree can stand tall without its roots.

MEDITATION

Propably the most important part of practising magick is meditating. It benefits you in many ways and not only in the magickal concept part. It helps you be calm and leave nervousness and agitating things aside and concentrate on your life with a calm and peaceful mind. It gives you clarity. It also is good for health since it is known to reduce blood pressure and even help with your amune system. These are all benefits of meditating for your normal life. But meditating is critical for your magickal life too.

  • What does meditation mean?
  • Meditation is a state of mind. A calm peaceful state of mind that comes through relaxation techniques and emptying your mind from all the things that trouble you and learning to control your mind as to how it processes infomations that surround you. Meditation is a state of thoughtfull awareness. Cause though meditation you learn to empty your mind clear it from all the troubles and stress , relax and open yourself to everything around you but all that with your mind alert and sharpened not asleep.

  • Why do we need meditation in magick?
  • We need it cause it teaches us the most important things in order to proceed. We leatn to be focused but open. To learn to feel everything around us instead of just watching them. It helps learn more about ourselves.Most important we learn to feel our energy and slowly the energies of things around us like a tree or bird. Energy is needed in every single possible magick practise and before someone learns to uses his own energy he needs to be able to sense it and recognise it. In order to cast a spell or do a ritual or anything really magick related you need to be able to concetrate all your senses into it in order to give the push that is needed to occure. You need to think of it, to feel it, to see it clearly in your mind even taste it or smell it and all that in your own mind. You need to be calm when you practise , open and completely focused all your senses and energy and willpower on it.

  • How can someone learn how to meditate?
  • There are books about it, articles here on the site or ask people that have studied meditation techniques. Its really easy to find numerous meditations.

  • I for a start recommend to sit comfortable on the floor or a pillow but in a comfortable position and in comfortable clothes. Silence phones , laptops anything that can disturb you. Light some candles if you want to since it helps most people relax. You can also play music but i recommend without lyrics and peaceful. Goal of preparing for your first meditation is to make sure nothing will disturb you. Cause just worrying that something might disturb you will be enough to not let yourself relax completely.
  • After you have worked on making sure you are comfortable close your eyes and relax. Let your mind relax like when you go to sleep but dont fall asleep. Like i said above you need to be relaxed but alert. So concetrate on how you feel, everything around you but with an empty mind. Feeling and thinking of something is completely different. I know it sounds hard. So you can start slow. You can start by concentrating on one thing even a pen and meditation after meditation try to let go.
  • There is no such thing as a right amount of time to meditate. One should stop when he/she thinks its time to stop. That can be hours or just one. But my advice meditate for at least half an hour. Something less just isnt enough.
  • Thats for just a small taste of meditation. Someone should really learn more ways and search them out . We on our coven have a series of posts about meditation techniques.

  • problems preventing from meditating
  • I have come across many people that say they cant meditate cause they dont have time or space or dont get anything out of it so i would like to make some things clear.

    Time can be found its not that hard and we talk about half an hour if someone cant more. During any moment of the day. If you live with your parents and you dont want them to know about you meditating or practising you can do it when everyone is asleep. If you dont have your own space go to the hallway or the bathroom or somewhere outside but in the middle of the night please dont go outside its not safe. So time and the place is not as hard as you may think to be found. Instead of focusing on" i cant do it " focuse on figuring out how to do it. And saying to parents that you meditate isnt a bad thing. It doesnt mean you tell them you practise if they wont accept that. You can search and find strong arguments about how meditation is helpful. Like it helps with stress, or anger management or even hey dad and mom i found something cool i want to try out. And if someone doesnt get anything out of meditation and doesnt understand its value he/she isnt doing it right and should search of alternative meditations or try harder.

    My mind is so used to going in so many different directions sometimes it is hard for me to just clear it, but I have been practicing. I also have not been meditating long enough I have only been practicing for about 10 minutes every afternoon.

    Ive been trying to meditate 30minutes to an hr every night to learn to feel and control my energy and put me in the right state of mind i have a question though when i feel the energy go threw my body and leaving and gaining. it feels like a tingling feeling as it moves like to much energy in areas i dont know how to explain it but i was wondering if thats how its suppose to feel

    First- yes that's how it should feel from there you can use the energy to what you are trying to do, when I get to that point I usually feel as if I'm floating.

    Second- at anytime it's always nice to acknowledge them and give thanks, personally I talk out load to each of the gods and goddesses I follow and give tribute whenever possible, it really brings a feeling of closeness after.

    I always play New Age Music when I meditate it helps me relax and focus

    Ye I tried this but for I fell like it's hard because as I try to consent rate I see like clouds forming in my eyes .so please tell me another option that will help me to meditate

    Hi, my name is Zoe and I was born with the heightened ability to sense spirits (Normal people sense spirits... i think... well i am just like more in tune with that function)it runs in my family. My dad calls us "sensatives" Im not sure if that is the correct term, I dont know if there even is a term for that... but anyways my point is, do you or anyone that you know do that too??? if so, please let me know right away because I would like to know some exercises to make my abilities stronger and maybe progress into bigger things.
