People don't know better. Unless you are from a Pagan household, or a close friend or family member is Pagan, you are exposed to fairytale logic. Not all "fluffy bunnies" mean harm, they discover real witches walk among us, and now they can make their dreams come true. Once they discover this is far from reality, some accept it, but most go through some variation of the five stages of grief. Think about when you discovered a childhood fantasy was simply that; fantasy. When I discovered my parents slipping a dollar under my pillow I cried for an hour. Embarrassing but true. What is also true is I got over it, and I moved on. It is harder however when you held this belief for a long time, some people are kind and calmly explain why you cannot be a mermaid, others slam the hammer of reality down and call the person "fluffy" for ever even harbouring the notion. When met with anger, it's understandable the person would react the same. From the ashes a phoenix can rise, that is why the forums stay.

Blessed Be.

Not really, Older. When people go on and on with delusions of becoming fae or some mythological creature it is insulting to those which are serious about magic. Some things can be insulting to their culture hence why many people do get hostile towards the idiocy that another is radiating so vibrantly. Though, before the hostilities there is usually always an attempt or two in trying to educate the unwilling. We get labeled closed minded because we tell another that they cannot go shooting lightning bolts from their hands or that they cannot fly like a bird. It gets tiring after a time. That is why I do not see it offensive to tell the children to knock of their games as playtime is for elsewhere not this site.

Speaking with 'fae' which are for the most part are nature spirits; depends on what culture you might look at. Is quite as simple as going into a forest, finding a place to sit down, relax yourself and mind, and meditate to the point of a trance state and evoke the spirits which you so desire to speak with. I suggest taking fruit that is sweet for an offering.

However, ultimately we try to educate, we lead the horse to the water we cannot force it to drink, but when the flies start to swarm with their blazing annoyance we tend to bring out the fly-swatter and take care of the intrusion. We are not vile to those which radiate overwhelming stupidity until they begin to dish out their insults and telling us we have no idea what we are talking about.

Magic will never be able to transcend the human limitations in which we do have whether they who wish like it or not.We have reality that we are dealt therefore they just need to accept it; until solid, legitimate, hardcore evidence is produced in Proving that magic can bypass our limitations.

Now, does this bring some enlightenment unto you as to why we, serious practitioners, are so insistent on eradicating the ignorance known as fluff with intelligence?

I think you misunderstood me, I am ok with the denial of transforming into mythical beasts but in my experience some people can upset when there beliefs are said to be fluff. That is all I was trying to imply.
