I know I'm new here but from what I know of the word Jehovah it was a mis-translation of Yahweh. It was when it was being translated to german because german is like Afrikaans in the sense that Y's are pronounced like J and w's like v's.

So after a while it became an accepted way of calling him which is weird.

Plus they spoke in tenses, esp. the Greeks. There were first, second and third, all which conveyed different meanings altogether, and were interchanged with the greatest of ease.

Honestly, sirjacks, no one is alive today to reveal to us how it was pronounced. Even Jesus (Heb, Yesh.ua, yeh.eshua) is not what his ancient name was. The modern names we know these by is the best translations they could come up with. Most ancient names and words have no corresponding English equivalent.

Gannon Rapta I was speaking about how Jehovah came about. I know most words seem to have lost their meaning but I seem to find that apocryphal books sheed more light on the bible and various things. I've been tempted by the kabalah and other jewish mysticism because they shed more light on the situation.

Its from books about german people and the name of Jehovah that I found out about the name

I had a Great Grandfather from Germany that swore he detested religion but never ate pork and blessed food in another language ( not english, german or hebrew). Ironically he had a Druid staff and a book of spells with a six pointed star on it. Older relatives argue about whether he was a Rabbi or a Druid. Maybe Kabala?

Maybe, the hexagram is used as a symbol within qabalah. ?.hiwever it has been around for a long time and probably predates qabalah. Qabalah also permeates other belief systems and seeks to organise and reconcile them.

He could have been practicing anything the hexagram is used in many systems. The language may have been gaelic or ancient celtic....or anything else.

Mindless I'm not sure about what it could be.

So guys I don't know how to take this but ever since I've joined this site a bird wakes me up in the morning, when I pray I get dizzy, the passed to days I've felt like I've been drained of energy, went to the toilet and heard the window moving like someone is trying to open it, but this is impossible because Í have dogs that are in the backyard and would tear to shreds anyone who goes would go there.

I've just noticed weird sights but that feeling of being watched even when I sleep is gone though

Perhaps there are spirits trying to contact you?

As for Great Grandfather, I did have one Great Aunt that spoke Gaelic and says she learned woth her siblings from parents. He may have been her brother but I can not ask about magic to family and any questions about those two relatives are considered off limits.
