Just remember that a higher power exists. It is undeniable and essential to the recovery process to admit powerlessness over your addiction and to become willing to accept that a power greater than yourself can return you to sanity if they are sought. No matter what you call that power it is all knowing, all forgiving and all loving.

What Barbi said, the key to working a program will get to that higher power.

I hope the sigil work in the Arbatel is useful. I really like you idea of creating your own sigil for this kind of work as well. What a great way to approach it! I don't know if it is relevant or you have this book already but Frater UD's "practical sigil magick" comes to mind.

As far as gentle Norse deities, the only one that comes to mind in Baldur. Though there are a lot of much more knowledgable operators than I on the subject.

Stay frosty Arahant!

If you're looking for a nice Norse deity who doesn't have some rough edges and harshness, you might be out of luck. Eir would probably be the safest one to go with. Definitely not Fenrir or Angrboda.

I'm actually an atheist, atleast untill i have an experience that convinces me otherwise. But i believe in magic, i can't say i understand completely how it all works but I'v resolved it enough in my mind that it fits my views on the world.

However if i were to use a magical system that works on the principle that god or many gods are real, my understanding is aslong as you can temporarily suspend disbelief(and i think i can) then you should be ok with the right focus of your will and belief.

As for the Arbatel, im not completely done it yet but iv read most of it and skimmed some of the rest, it wasn't as complete as i thought it would be so i will check out that sigil book you mentioned, i think i had it at one point. Also forget who mentioned Hagith in the beginning, but in the Arbatel it doesn't mention Hagith as having anything to do with addictions, so im wondering if anyone knows what source thats from.

As for the Nordic systems I think its best that i keep that on the backburner untill a time in which I'm better suited to dealing with everything it has to offer good or bad.
