Candle Question :S
By:
I have this candle, but there's something i don't understand.
It's red on the outside but on the inside it's white. There's like a small layer of red so you think the candle is red but when you start lighting it you realize it's white.

So is this candle a red one or a white ? I just wanna make sure.

It's cheap. They make batches of white candles and put a vaneer of color on the outside of them. It is the standard way most cheap candles are made. You can use it as either.

Remember that white candles are typically seen as being good for all workings and that white is the default substitution candle.

Use it as you choose to.

No, it doesn't taint or weaken the spell in my experience.

It helps to know it is a two color before using it, the best way to tell is to scrape a bit off the bottom of the candle.

Also if you are inclined you can split the candle down the middle of the wick, not an easy process, and use the candle as a double color one. In the case of the aforementioned candle, it could be used as a red and a white at once. This gives you two candles, once split, to use in different ways.
