no-one can say what is right or wrong for another person. There's also no right or wrongs in witchcraft. What do you mean Christian? Are you a Christian who that casts spells or a Trinitarian Wiccan/Christian Wiccan? The Christian religion does not promote magick or homosexuality. However I'd also like to add it's manmade & has been falsely changed to suite certain courses, the witch trials. So if parts of the bible have been changed maybe other parts have been changed to suite other courses. A lot of witches/Wiccan's/pagans will not agree with Christian Witches full stop! i say if it's in your heart, then follow the path that your drawn to. If the Trinitarian Wiccan are Christians that are also Wiccan? Witches then it wouldn't be right for them not to accept gays. If magick is now accepted in some parts of the Christian religion, then so should gays. There are actually some gay churches here in the UK. Just be true to yourself & be happy! Blessed be!

I don't think that Christianity allows the use of magick or gay but I think you should just do what you want! It's your life! live it as you chose, we only live once! Don't what if, just do, along's your not hurting anyone.

Catholics and Lutherans practice magic. They start you out when you are born with their most important spell/ritual: baptism. They gather in a church to make their magic stronger... Just because they call it "prayers" doesn't make it different than what most other people do.

Therefore, it's hard to buy the anti-magic meanings taken from those texts that appear to be against it.

I am christian but in open minded, I do believe that the many things that the bible says is true but I have some doubts; I dont believe that someones sexuality has to do with its religion you can be who ever you want to be and since GOD is all loving he will still love you for who you are.

The Christian religion does not ban magical practices. In fact, most Catholic and Angelican rituals are based on magical principles. Nor does it talk against homosexuality per se. It does talk against sexual immorality. At the time the books of the bibl were written, that would have included homosexuality. Today... Well, that is for someone other than me to decide, thank goodness.

If someone does truely follow the Christian religion, they may tell you how they feel about your actions and choices, but they are not speaking of you. They should be able to seperate the person and what they do. They should never condem you. If you do not conform to their religion, they should love you anyway, and not judge you. OF course, most people let their ego get in the way, pick a fight and make themselves feel good.

Saying that Christians do not tollerate magic or gays is like saying Pagans are lesbian women who hate men. Neither statement is correct. (And before someone starts it, I do not feel that way about Pagans.) Respect for religion religious tollerance needs to start somewhere. It might as well start with us. No more bashing of religions. Christian, Pagan, or the worship of the All-Powerful Fred!

LVX,

Shawn.

Jesus loves everyone regardless of their sexuality. Sin in the bible has really gotten a bad name. When the bible talks about sin, a more direct translation of the word being used is "missing the mark". Therefore, when you "sin", you are really missing the point as to why we are here. Which I believe is to learn and grow and become enlightened. For various reasons that I will not get into in this post I also believe that the words that are translated hell in the bible are also misinterpretations. Furthermore, I believe that some of the quotations in the bible regarding homosexuality were added on later due to cultural biases. Others were improprerly translated and referred to any form of promiscuity reguardless of their sexuality. When we are sexually promiscuous we are missing the point as to why we are here. But that is also true when we spend our time doing anything that does not further the purpose of this life cycle. What the bible is teaching in these passages is balance and a reverence for love. What is important to remember is that God/dess IS love. All forms of love. This is an enduring truth that cannot be changed by the prejudice of others. If you wrote this post because you believe that you are gay remember that you were created perfect and are loved by the Divine spirit. I am straight but I support you in love and light. Blessed be.
