Simple Question

I have an old Lapiz Lazuli necklace that my mother gave to me. She said that it would be useful for my healing abilities. I feel such a strong bond with my necklace. But I'm not sure how to go about combining it with my power. Any suggestions?

Do you feel better (more empowered) when you roll the pendant or beads between your fingers, or just holding it and wearing it? Because (I've felt that) just contact can infuse the stones' energy with yours, like a vitamin... but if I want to purposely enchant it, I clean it first with a saltwater and baking soda solution (to loosen the dirt and ground the acquired energies -- but careful to wipe it off right away if saltwater tarnishes any metals that hold it) and then just sort of push the commanding energy in -- by contact, or chanting over it, or visualizing a representing color permeating the stone -- and finish with an 'and stay there' thought.

Maybe you can have a glyph representing you or the purpose you want it to have, carved onto it (modifications like this by a professional jeweler shouldn't be too expensive... unless there's a hairline crack or something that makes it shatter under the carver, then that would suck... but it's just a suggestion.)

I feel more empowered when I wear it...then again, I do fiddle with the neclace as in wearing it. Anyways, I beleive its already enchanted so if I cleanse it will the enchantment go away?

Depends how well the binding's done. If it's lasted this long, I don't think just a minute of cleansing should hurt, but if you don't want to risk it...
