Does coal have any use in magick? I live in the coal region and I was wondering, is coal any good when it comes to witchcraft?

Charcoal discs are used involving making your own incense (I guess you just burn the herbs on the disk? I wouldn't know, I just read of it from somewhere else...)

I was allowed to hold a lump of high-grade black coal once in science class (we were studying how fossil fuels form,) being the eternal weirdo, I tried to communicate with it. I had the sense it absorbed bad vibes like jet, obsidian, or haematite does. Or maybe that was just the association built up with with color black... it should have had a lot of life-energy and history because of how it was formed. Anyway, every stone has its own vibration, so you should be able to feel it out for yourself and find its best use. :-)

well, Wind, I use stones alot in my energy readings, because all stones have the property to absorb energy, and to "feel the vibrations" just requires focus and practice time.

Lighting coal on fire is pretty hard since it doesn't burn until 4,000 degrees and then I would have a problem putting it out because water defuses at 4,000 degrees so I cant use water.
