Looking at this, it seems to me that this is a "New-Age Roleplaying Group"

Fighting the "Evil that is invading this world" Life isn't divided between "Light and Dark" everything is grey based on perceptions and ideas of everyone meshed together.

Highest rank is "God" how can anyone not see the fluffiness that circles it. In the stories people could attain godhood like in Greek Mythology.

My Conclusion is that this is some "Pseudo-Coven" which has its ideas based on Conspiracy Theories and Roleplaying ideas.

Good Day

I forgot to add to

These are just stories, not whole truths people can't become "Godforms"

Oh, it gets so much better than that;

They apparently intend to fight this invading evil by means of "combat magick," parkour, and Kamehameha blasts. Totally serious about the anime attack, too;

This isn't even roleplaying because I have friends who roleplay (Mainly stuff like Pokemon and stuff like that nothing stupid like this) and they know they are only that while typing and they don't push that they are whatever they claim to be in real life

So people who claim to be something like this in real life aren't roleplayers

They are insane

In their rules they have "1. No Roleplaying" and they underlined it too

So people can't roleplay but they can be insane? Well that makes sense

"This isn't even roleplaying because I have friends who roleplay"

It's like it's some form of uncontrollable roleplay... though when you stop and think about it that does sound kind of crazy. Crowley actually talked about this in an essay called the Dangers of Mysticism;

http://lib.oto-usa.org/crowley/essays/dangers-mysticism.html
============
The Magician is not nearly so liable to fall into this fearful mire of pride as the mystic; he is occupied with things outside himself, and can correct his pride. Indeed, he is constantly being corrected by Nature. He, the Great One, cannot run a mile in four minutes! The mystic is solitary and shut up, lacks wholesome combat. We are all schoolboys, and the football field is a perfect prophylactic of swelled head. When the mystic meets an obstacle, he 'makes believe' about it. He says it is 'only illusion.' He has the morphino-maniac?s feeling of bien-?tre, the delusions of the general paralytic. He loses the power of looking any fact in the face; he feeds himself on his own imagination; he persuades himself of his own attainment. If contradicted on the subject, he is cross and spiteful and cattish. If I criticise Mr X, he screams, and tries to injure me behind my back; if I say that Madame Y is not exactly St. Teresa, she writes a book to prove that she is.
============

Through the power of sheer expectation and suspension of disbelief they (people who manage to roleplay on accident) are able to convince themselves that they are actually experiencing supernatural phenomena. A bad gut feeling becomes a demon in the room, a weird dream is thought to be a half-remembered Astral journey, a good guess is interpreted as flawless clairvoyance, etc.

I feel the need to defend my coven a bit here.....

I personally do not practice martial arts or any other fighting technique and I am sure most of the coven members do not. I am not a roleplayer and have been in the coven for more than 5 years and yes I have met a few but there are many well abled members who do in fact practie magick in a serious way.

I am not a battle mage or whatever and as for tis war business I don't believe in it, however there are those that believe it is something much like ragnorok. The reason I joined is because at the time they were one of the only covens that realised the need for self defense magicks and didn't tech the "turn the other cheek" sort of thing and so therefore didn;'t just teach what people term 'white' magick.

Then again these are just my views and not my covens, and I do agree whether my other coven members like it or not going around saying a bunch of young people are going to save the world by becoming battle mages is silly and childish my point is merely that the coven members are not.

I practice high magick serriously and do not claim to summon demons and then battle them to the death because I know thats not how it works 9I know you didn't say I did this)

I just hope the coven stays around long enough and possibly changes itself a bit; we are under new leadership however the covenn cannot change what it was originally there for as I believe this is against site rules and so it is not the covens fault at all and again most (possibly not all but then again no coven is perfect) of the members are very knowledgeable and able and take magick very seriously just as I do.
