That is a difficult situation. The only advice I can give is to simply explain your reasoning behind wanting to be goth. Where I live there were no goth kids when I was in school otherwise I probably would have been a goth myself. If you feel your father is understanding just tell him when it feels right, though relying on that gut feeling could cause you to put off telling him. Telling him is unique to your situation.
