Food for thought

I have seen many posts regarding "appropriate" magic use or "abuse" of magic.

Magic is a Tool and a Birthright. It was Orignally for Total "selfish" use and self preservation. It is not within anybody's rights to lable any use of magic.

That being said I find anything to do with love spells horribly Vulgar. But I am not going to push my ways on anybody Asking for such. At best I might comment on the obsession such spells create.

Chastizing curious people hurts more than it helps, especially because they will not post again with a more serious question.

I know some posts here are silly, but most people here are young and new to this. Give them a gentle nudge, not a dropkick in the head.

Just because you can cast and consider yourself well into magic, does not make you a Master of the Arts. I am not.

And I doubt many here are. So I ask you to think and remember who they and you are before lashing out at people.

This is true but warning someone of dangers of some magics cannot harm them simply inform them no?

Though advice on dangerous magics is given, it is often given with a "Holier-than-thou" attitude, or a "What-are-you, Stupid?" attitude. I feel it's repressive to beginners. And to not let people make their own mistakes is doing them a disservice. Mistakes are needed to grow.

Then again the best way to learn is to make the mistake yourself. If you tell a child not to touch the stove because it is hot and they still try then let them. They will learn not to touch the stove because it is hot after they burn their hand.

i agree, the young ones here do need a nudge and people shuold be a bit more gentle with their words. (im no saint, i know, i take the mickey out of a lot of people on this site, but usually not nubees, i go for the "experienced" with no wit, knowledge and closed minded) i also dont like it when someone offers things they can teach and then turn around and say "no, i cant reveal my lessons yet" and try send you on this holy crusaide to answer questions for them and do (what i have heard) some quite stupid "initiation" spells.so to those people as well, get over yourselves, if you want to help, please do but if you are going to just waste peoples time and energy, rather do it with your own friends and family. this site is for learning.

i agree with you Flagg, the only people i realy go after are the liers who want 15 minutes of fame and the people who think they're all that... personally i wont be teaching anything for a long time because frankly.. i havent a clue where to start teaching, the closest thing that i could teach would be divination, and im a mid-adept at best.

but still, we drop kick a few noobs in the head because some (from what ive noticed) think magick can solve anything and so a couple deserve a drop kick and others a simple nudge.

these are just my thoughts though ^^

i love talking to noobs though because they are fun to be around^^ as long as they are open minded^_^
