Some have attempted to point this out but many have failed to really think about it. You can believe what you want about the christian god. And you may be a chrstian in believe in some forms of magic. You can not however be both christian and wiccan.
A wiccan believes in the god and the godess. No good christian, no offense to anyone, can be any form of wiccan because they would believe in multiple gods which is strictly against the Bible. From a christian point of view it is seen as breaking a commandment and a very important one. To those who have tried to point tis out I am sorry for the repetiveness but I thought this was needed to further try to teach these people who support a religion that contridicts its self.

You cannot be a full Christian and a full Wiccan, but you can take elements from both Christianity and Wicca and combine them into a single, non-contradictory religion which you can practice. Obviously certain elements from each religion will not make the cut or will need to be altered, but there is absolutely no reason why you would need to choose contradictory elements.
Provided that you are using Christian and Wiccan as adjectives, not nouns, you can be a Christian-Wiccan.
I understand what you are saying and you are right. But if you do take away the contradictary elements in these two very different religions you have a new religion all together that needs a new name that does not involve one or the other. If you have those two religions' names involved you are implying that the two are just meshed. And if you take a main foundation of a religion away to put others in you no longer really have a form of that religion. As said you create something else completly.
Well do you have a name suggestion? No one else really seems to.
And again, blue-green seems to be a sufficient name for a color which is not quite blue and not quite green, so why isn't Christian-Wiccan not a sufficient name for a religion which is not quite Christian and not quite Wiccan? It's made from the two religions, so why can't the new religion be named after its constituent parts?
Ah but in your example blue is the foundation for all the color. When you add yellow to blue you get green. Then add more blue and you have blue-green.
When talking about Christian-Wiccans you have now taking two religions and you broke the foundations for these apart and meshed them together. If you call this mesh of foundations Christian-Wiccan, you imply that it is a more specific form of christianinty as well as wicca when it indeed is not for you have broken the rules of both religions. That is all I have been trying to say.
Well I acknowledge that "Christian-Wiccan" may not be an ideal name... I've just never heard anyone have any real suggestion for a replacement name. Since we keep talking about it we need something to call this religion, and unfortunately "Christian-Wiccan" is the best anyone can come up with.

While it's accurate that magick does not itself suggest any specific religious view, this thread is very decidedly about religions. The original post specifically references the following of "Christian Wicca."
Good call bringing up Trinitarian Wicca though. While "Christian Wicca" still seems about as accurate as other Wiccan descriptives like Celtic Wicca, Trinitarian Wicca seems to be a much more accepted name, albeit still largely unknown.
