i'm just wondering because one of the spells says "by the power of the devils" now i'm christian and i don't want to get into anything about satan...so is this site satanic or not?
Are christians supposed to use magick? I've been told that it's a sin for a christian to use magick. I don't know if that's true or not since I'm not christian. Now about your question - no, this site isn't satanic.
the thing about CHristians being against magick is becuz of the witch trials so ppl are afriad of witches. The belittle us and altered the bible to read that God was against magick when magick was used by Christains. THe healing that they did were magick but that called it a miracle
wow......not tryin to start anything...but....uhhhh.....Have you even read the Bible trav???? now dont get me wrong....im not Christian, but i have read the Bible....cover to lieing cover. If you want to know the real reason that Christians dont like magic, then read Revealations.....it basically says that if you do magic then you will never see the Grace of Heaven....and another thing......yah,do you even know what a Satanist is???? cuz i bet you dont....believe it or not Satanists dont worship the so called "Devil".....they dont even believe in a Devil...or God for that matter...they worship the Earth and believe that, what some call "Mother Nature," rules all.
It doesn't have to involve inverted pentagrams drawn in blood with rock music blaring in the background, to be Satanic you know... if you turn to the "false gods" of Earth, or use any kind of magic to worship yourself and depend on only yourself, then that is in opposition (sheytan=opposer) to Biblical teachings.
Some kinds of magic are especially taboo, whether they call upon devils or not: any kind of necromancy, or telling of the future by random things like tarot cards. If you want to err on caution, I say stick with Theurgia. Christianity actually has a very rich tradition of magic, but not much of it is on this site (except for the LBRP that Truehunter10 posted.) Hope this helps!
Like I just said Evil they altered it to read that way during the times of the salem witch trials. Everyone was against magick at that time So they made it seem that the bible was against magick too. but Christains take it to a whole nother level and start to belittle all other religion. I believe in god thats just me. But I abide by the 10 commandments and it says nothing of magic in there
The Bibles you see now a days and the bibles you would have seen during The Salem witch trials were edited, even after the new testament was made. One of the anti-wiccan edits that they made was changing "Thou shall not poison another" (Not sure about the exact quote, but it was something along the lines of this) to Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live"
