There are no levels in Magick, however, there are recognized degrees of learning in certain paths. In Wicca, there are generally three degrees or less (never more).
The First is the sign of someone who has at least some knowledge of Magick (basic ideas and such, knowledge of the Sabbats, Esbats, and the like) and announces to the Gods that they are willing to learn and practice more of the Craft.
The Second degree is for a person who has gone through at least a year and a day (may be longer or shorter, but never too much shorter) of training and continue on to learn and practice a specialty within the Craft.
A Third degree is traditionally reserved for a High Priestess and High Priest within a coven and in the older days were often Elders.
These are just examples of recognized degrees in Magick.
