This will be the First Lesson that we will start our Classroom Study Group Discussions with..SO Grab your Pen,Paper and get ready to take notes..

This lesson will help you to learn to create and make your own personal Dream Diary..

Things You'll Need:

* Scrapbook

* Paints (optional)

* Crayons

* Pens

* Stickers (optional)

Buy a scrapbook, any scrapbook or even a regular

notebook or cheap hard cover Book. The more creative

and artistic the scrapbook, the better. Buy

any items that you think you would like to

decorate your dream diary with. Some of my favorite

items are stickers with stars, hearts, personal pictures

or some other image that you can use you communicate

your dream world with. Some other ideas include paint,

crayons, construction paper, and markers.

Keep the scrapbook and the items very near the bed

where you sleep at night. When you wake up in the

morning, the first thing that you should do is to

draw pictures or decorate your dream diary scrapbook

I want to Thank Everyone For coming to the First of Many Classroom Study Groups. It was a very good Study Group and I was very pleased with the attention and the enthuastic of all my class.. I am posting below the last of our discussion in Creating a Dream Diary for those of you who are just joining the class and would like to catch up..

(1)Find a notebook or journal specifically to record your dreams in. Keep it within arm's reach of the bed. Dreams fade quickly on awakening so you need to write them down as soon as you wake.

If you get up, walk around and start talking about other things, it will cause motor neurons to fire in your brain. This is what "overwrites" the memory of the dream. So be ready to jot down a few details first thing.

(2)Note down the date of your dream. Then write down everything you can remember. Write everything in the present tense (eg "I am walking down the street when a frog jumps out of the bushes"). This helps with remembering dreams by putting you in the moment.

~Remembering Dreams~

(3)Identify dream themes. Think about the location, characters, sensations, sounds, objects and emotions of the dream. Underline key themes that may help with interpreting dreams (eg, "the frog is sad because he knows a drought is coming").

You may want to analyze the themes and fully interpret your dream. Otherwise, continue to write down all the memorable details in your dream journal.

Anything that you can associate with established neural patterns is also important (eg, you feel protective over a puppy). This may be a dream symbol or concept that represents a real life issue.

(4)Don't worry about spelling, punctuation and grammar. As long as you can read it back later and it still makes sense, you are fine.

(5)Sketch any strong images from the dream. It doesn't matter if you're not an artist. A sketch is just to help you visualize the dream later on.

(6)When you have finished, jot down any major life issues that are going on right now. For instance, you may be suffering from a broken heart. Over time, you will be able to link your subconscious dream symbols with real life issues.

(7)Give the dream an appropriate title. Nothing flashy, just something to remember it by. If you became lucid at any point in the dream, write "L" for lucid in a circle by the title. Identify what caused you to become lucid (unless it was a WILD).

Take notes if you need to as there will be alot more on this assignment to come.

I will be using a Black binder as black repels and banishes evil and negativity. Then I will be using a piece of white paper with the following symbols on it-
Top Left will have the Cherokee symbol of the four winds for peace.
Top Right will have the Wiccan triquetra for protection.
Bottom Left will have the Pentagram as the element symbol.
Bottom Right will have the Wiccan symbol for blessings.
In the center it will have the Wiccan symbol for the Goddess as it is for energy, mystery and psychic abilities. Underneath that will be a picture of the wolf as that is my Cherokee spirit guide.
In the binder will be construction paper soaked in a bath of water and lavender oil.

The dream diary that I am creating for myself means many things. Primarily the dream diary will help me to see what I am dealing with in my everyday life. With me knowing what I am dealing with and how it is affecting my dreams can give me a chance to change the way that I deal with situations, what I eat, and how I handle stress. Also the dream diary can help me learn to differentiate between what will happen and what my subconscious is telling me. With that tool, I can learn what the Mother Goddess is trying to tell me and what my body and mind is trying to tell me. Lastly I can look back and see if any of my dreams are recurring and why. Knowing if my dreams are recurring can be useful to me as I can look back and see what I did to stop the dream and how I handled life afterwards.

(formerly submitted in Seers' site)

I’m not very creative. I just want it simple, that describes me best. Since I am using a computer to transcribe my dreams, I am making a cover page for it. I can’t draw so instead I cut and paste it from the internet onto the cover page of my book. The following is a description of what the cover page of my dream diary would look like.

On the top it will have a drawing of my face on a mirror and below that my name will be written in segoe script and in blue color.

Next line will have a drawing of an Hawaiian flower and below that the word dream will be written in segoe script and in blue color.

Next line will have a drawing of a sunflower and the petals are yellow and below that the word diary will be written in segoe script and in blue color.

Question: What your Dream Diary means to you and why you have chosen to create it?

The mind is powerful. It is the keeper of our secrets, fears, desires and intent. The way to solve such mystery of the mind is to unlock the messages from the subconscious. This is the reason why I have chosen to create a dream diary journal is to document what my subconscious mind is trying to reveal. It could be revealing un-recollected memories, daily life stress or problems or even messages from the unknown. To me, having a dream diary journal is like a therapy, an outlet or somehow a small glimpse of what the answer might be. Understanding what the subconscious mind is trying to reveal. What messages it is you can uncover between the lines or images you see. It’s your subconscious mind revealing to you that you are ready to understand and deal with whatever it is you need to addressed.

(submited in spirit seers)

well since i dont have a dream journal yet..i would hand make it by taking some papers and soak it in coffee so it can look really old..i like stuff like that..put it in the oven with cinnimon to make it smell good and be crisp..

then i would punch holes in it and run some yarn through it..on the front cover i would either paint or draw a forest with large trees that hung over a path..the forest represents the place i feel safe and the path is for my journey into my dreams..and also my life

...the trees leafs would be dark purple because its my favorite color and it stands for my third eye

.there would be a large full moon over the trees because it stands for one of the goddess's three faces (hecate)..she is one of my favorite goddesses..and it would also be there because thats when my energy is at its highest...inside the moon it would say dream in dark purple as well.

the purpose of me having a dream journal is so i can interpet what my mind and body is trying to tell me, and what the gods and goddess are trying to tell me as well.
truthfully the purpose of my having a dream journal is so i can truly get to know the real me and see what i am really thinking. It would give me a chance to better understand myself and what i could do to better myself.Anther purpose of me having one is so i can see what is troubling me that i may not even relize when i am awake. I really want to know my fears so i know how to control them to.
