Blessings!

I know I have not been making posts lately and that is because I am a full time student and worker; to top it all of I have been going thru some very personal stuff which I wish not to discuss at the moment. Anyway, I am sitting here at work thinking about things that are universal and it hit me blessings!

Blessings have been around since the begging of time; Blessings are truly a gift and are more precious and valuable than gold. To bless someone means that you are taking away negative energy and filling the life of the person with positive things. Blessings are found just everywhere such as weddings we bless the couple to have long happy years together, births we bless a baby to have a long healthy successful life, when we move into a new home, when a new business opens up,when we cook a meal, the list of blessings can go on. When I was young my grandma would tell me "Varvaritsa, bring me some water to drink and I will bless you with a long, happy, and successful life" I would run to get her that glass of water because I knew the gift she was giving was so precious.

to bless your kitchen herbs, rise at dawn and then gather allof your herbs together on the kitchen counter. Hold your hands above them with your palms down, and then say
God and Goddess of the good Earth
Bless these herbs with love and mirth
And as their powers are released
Let them flavor well each feast.
