Check Our Selves

Science and Spirituality will sooner than later come crashing together and the iron fist of science will fail as well as the fairy tales of organized religion. No one will be able to tell us about the nature of truth, we will merely have to look into our own Quantum Soul Entanglement with the Universe to understand the nature of divinity and reality.
Traveling backwards through the levels of consciousness until we find that "Spooky Action At A Distance" refers not only to Quantum Particles but also to the connectivity of the Qualia to the Divine.
Remember that this site should be for the expansion of understanding for all who visit here, for this is lost on many. Delusion and Grand Lies to the Self are not enlightenment.
Learn the value of the debate and transfer of ideas. To be wrong is not only noble, but exciting, for you are able to learn anew like a child again, and understanding why you are wrong brings a better vision of truth than just being right.

I find it frustrating that the culture in this site is one where questioning the few popular accounts is met with such disdain. Informed debate is discouraged in favor of plagiarism and the stating of theories that are posited as truth without a single grain of validity.

The fact of the matter is that the public area of this site has MUCH to be desired, stating it lightly. For those of you who would post the "if you don't like it leave," option, well, that's just not in my nature. The coven I belong to is one like no other I have found either on the computer or geographically. Understanding that wisdom does not come from knowing so much, but knowing you know so little, and this is lost on so many here.

I truly wish I could make a connection to more people, but every time I engage in a discussion it is shut down or disregarded. Too many are into escapism, ego boosting, and delusion.

So here I would like to invite public discussion of the culture created by this site.

first take a look at this.

mistakes are the best way to learn! the sad thing is that this post will most likely receive few posts and fade away. i just felt a need to put it out there, the culture here is not one of learning(except for a very few). I just hope to attract those that are operating in a higher stratum of thought. thank you for the post plato :)

its comforting to find that you don't stand alone upon the pinnacle of learning amidst a sea of ignorance

Well ArcaTuthus I for one like your post makes more interesting reading than where can I get a spell to grow wings!

And I personally believe that we all hold our own truth already and some just prefer to follow the herd than actually listen to their own judgement if someone where to say the colour of a fence was red and other said no its not its pink both would be right because each one holds their own truth unto themselfs (or their colour blind ;P)

And one of my favorite quotes is "to be enlighetent is to know you know nothing at all" I'm not even sure if it is an actual quote by anyone in particular but I do remember reading it somewhere.

And eveyone one of us has the ability of being a teacher and a student at the same time, as knowledge is a vast area that could take up the whole of our lives learning and we still will have just learned only a fraction of it.

Love and Light

I believe Socrates said something along those lines during the trial that ultimately lead to his death, telling the judges that though he knew nothing, he was still smarter than they because he realize and admited to knowing nothing, where as they never admitted to being wrong about anything

Thank you for posting opal:)

Truth is a totally relative thing, and ever changing. I really think the site needs to stir up a bit. I was on the chatter challenging some of the more regularly occurring people(respectfully, i can't help it if i am have good debate skills) about their separation of science and spirituality(i do not believe there is a separation myself) and got a "change the subject" command from mods. i found it ridiculous and offensive. there is never anything being said in public chat but fluff and misinformation but let someone have an intelligent debate and no one can handle it because it destroys the delusional nature of this site.the people who are regularly on seem much more concerned with building up ego and being in control of their own fantasy than in discovering the true nature of being.

That is why the only thing being said in the chatter is "learn your basics". because no one has taken the time to go beyond the basics and those that have, don't go on the public chatter!

I tend to enjoy your posts ArcaTuthus, I find that your beliefs parallel quite a few of my own and you express yourself in manners that can show different angles to viewpoints under discussion.

That being said, I would say it is difficult to judge the nature of this site. The chatter and usually the forums are full of people whom have free time and (usually in the majority of cases) are either looking for a place to start magic in general or expand their current understanding. On occasion those looking to expand their knowledge specificly want to learn more of what They believe, not what other knowledge is availible. To each their own in that manner of course, but the near constant influx of people asking the same questions can and does leave members jaded in a manner.

I myself am guilty of feeling jaded or cynical towards either the claims or questions of members (new or not) but I attempt to remind myself that I wouldn't know the things I do now if I had not chosen to begin Somewhere. I believe this has significant effect on the culture of this website, and the topics discussed in the chatter. There are very specific questions that tend to come up in chat/forums constantly, and people become tired of answering (especially when there are already dozens of threads, and some stickied, about the very topics they ask for).

I feel that the nature of the new people comming to the site, especially with specific age groups, reflects our current behavior as a society as well. Many people currently find it easier to ask somebody they feel "knows something" instead of relying on possibly finding misleading information via searches.

In the long and short run, we should all work to remember our roots as beginners and attempt to steer topics towards more productive discussions after their questions have been answered to the best of our ability. But we must also remember that the site, while partly designed for magical theory and communication therein, is also for people to unwind and enjoy themselves. I don't find the two trains of thought to be mutually exclusive, but in vast groups things tend to muddle and become seperate issues.

I come here to help clarify questions within my experiance, and to enjoy the company of friends i've made. I've made several valuable friendships here, people whom I think the world of. Ideally everyone Should have experiances that result in greater knowledge and good friends, but as they say "online experiance is subject to change."

The pyramid diagram was a nice touch as well ^^
