Chi Ball

The first lesson is to show you how to gather chi and create one ofthe most simple constructs.

A chi ball, which has a verity of use.

First, you will need to know how to gather chi energy.

There are quite a lot of methods out there describing how to do this, but I will go over a quick and easy method.

This technique uses visualization.

This technique will cover how to gather your chi energy and make a common construct called a Chi Ball.

The chi ball is a small ball of chi energy, normally used by beginners to practice, but it is an important milestone in chi development.

It helps you to learn to gather and move chi energy.

In order to make a chi ball you have to be able to move chi.

This is simple, however; a lot of people have trouble do so.

The chi ball is created by moving chi energy into a desired location, in the form of a small sphere.

The size, is up to you, but normally it is easier to create one about the size of a baseball.

Now we can get started.

Make sure you are in aposition that is comfortable for you.

Don't get your hands in a position that makes you tired and makes you shaky because of strain.

Now, to get the chi flowing, you will want to visualize the chi in your sternum. (The sternum is the location just under your ribs, place yourhand on your stomach and your pinky touching the top of your bellybutton, this is the area you are going to want to use.)

There are many ways to visualize what chi looks like, I say, just see what ever yousee chi as looking like. If you think it looks like water, use water.

Light, fire, etc. Envision the chi energy gathering in your sternum, with however you see it, and feel it gather. Most people will feelsensations while they use chi. Be it heat, cold, tingles, a build up ofpressure, or what have you.

The feeling is entirely your own. Now tomove it, visualize it slowly moving up, going up your chest (Try toavoid going to major nerve clusters.) and over to your shoulders, slowly. Have it go down to your arms, and to your hands, have it poolthere for a little while, then bring it back up, and then back to yoursternum. Do this a few times until you can get the feel of it.

Now to the Chi Ball. Gather chi, and then pull it up from your sternum, using the method above. But, when you get to your hands, instead ofhaving it pool, have it flow out and into the shape of a hollow sphere.

This sphere is what you are going to use as a shell, a mold of sorts.Think of it as an outline, so to keep your chi in the right place. Nowyou will want to fill that shell with chi energy, let it flow from yourhands and into the shell, filling it up. Once you feel that it is full, then you have made a chi ball. Congrats. If you notice, there is aslight pressure in between your hands?

There could also be a feeling, such as heat, being cold, etc inside the chi ball as well.

This isjust one of the many methods to create a chi ball. They all follow thesame principles; Locate your souce of energy, move it, then put it intoan area and create the ball.
