But you do live forever. The physical body is just a temporary 'house' for your soul. Every physical thing, plants etc., must die one time or another so that new life can be born. But one's soul never dies. When the physical body becomes incapable of functioning normal, it dies and returns to earth. But when this happens the soul simply goes on and finds a new physical body to live in.

I'm only replying to the first post, I didn't read any of the following ones so I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Crim, if there is anyone who says it is possible I would like for that person to show proof. Although many things are possible through magick, not everything is. There are limitations, usually ones set by personal beliefs. Anything and everything is possible if you know how to make it possible, but magick alone is not always enough.

Aside from that, what would really be the point? The body is just a shell, a confinement, for who you really are. Without the body you will be more free then any human could ever be and with the cycle of reincarnation you could have more experiences then one human could ever have. In my opinion, immortality should be considered another form of suicide.

It is said the Comte Saint-Germain is immortal and still allive even today. Many occultist take this fact very but very seriously . There are also few Examples of Christian Saints alleged to be alive even today.
But lets think about it even If You could , would You tell anyone that you can ????

I consider that You can postpone the day of Your death and also make old age very less severe ( healthy life , biokinesis , meditation , veering petrified wood , youth spells and similar ) which is really the best way.

Witches were alleged in Midleage to stay young until death by means of potion that was brewed each day of the Moon cicle for three minutes and contained snake skin , 7 drops of virgin blood , Holy water , some herbs like Yucca , Olive tree , arilus ( outer of the berries ) of Yew and other and drinking just few sips while bath in the rest once a year.

Another way to get virtually anything ( this included ) is a pact with the Fiend

But If You really are spiritually knowledgeable You will know that body is merely a vessel and will respect nature circle.

Anyone that desires to stay on the physical plane in one body is very ignorant. There are many pleasures being an avatar or divine being. an avatar partake not in the pain of unenlightened beings. An avatar is the proof of righteousness.

Serpent, they are not necessarily ignorant. I disagree with the idea in most cases, however if someone believes that they may do more good for the world with more time to get things done then they may be staying for the right reasons.

If I had the ability to give the secret of immortality to anyone, I would ensure that it was only given after I was sure they were not ignorant. They would have to understand that those they love may not become immortal and thus would die without him/her, they would have to understand that even an immortal would not be capable of living if put in certain situations(pit of a volcano, deepest point within the ocean, outer space, etc), and of course they would have to understand that the "gift" would likely come with a feeling of loneliness due to all the losses. They would also have to understand that most of society would not accept what he/she would become and thus he would have to keep it a secret, he/she would have to know the potential consequences for everyone becoming immortal, etc.

Naturally, most people don't know and understand all that, but those who have thought it through do and many of them would still accept it if they had the chance. They would not accept it for the sake of escaping death, at least most of the people I have spoken with this about would choose to do so because they believe that if they were alive for so long they would have more time to set things right for everyone else.

Indeed, Ragnorok, immortality is more of a sacrifice of ones self than a gift, some look at it as a gift, that they escape Death, but then again what is Death, but the next step in ones existence? One who chooses to become immortal is essentially saying (if they understand one hundred percent what they are getting into) that they are saying they wish to stay behind, for the bettering of mankind and whatever is to come, and that they would be willing to sacrifice everything just to see things through. Thus not taking the next step, but staying on the same floor so to speak.

I hear all the time people saying "Oh I wish I was immortal". But when I tell them what true immortality is, then they realize Death is not a bad thing, it may appear to come at a bad time for some, but all in all is just guiding one to their next step in existence.

I do believe in immortality, however I also believe those with the ability to gift it, do not speak of it (for obvious reasons) but instead watch, and see who would be worthy for it, and if that person is not only willing, but ready to take that step. and I believe that anyone who desires immortality should read this and read it carefully, and take into mind that they would lose their family, their friends, their spouse, everything.
That they would have to live a life of solitude perhaps because this world is not ready to come to grips with the existence of such things, and that all in all they would have a task or series of tasks to do, which would be carried out through (most likely)very long periods of time. It's a shame nowadays most people do not understand the true meaning of what they speak of, if they did, they would have a completely different outlook on reality itself.

Simply let yourself die. I know it sounds strange but death is warm and soft. not cold and sad. It's a feeling of pure happiness. When you die you forget.

Then, what if you could change your physical corpse. This is a very offensive technique to go with your soul to another living humans body. I have only heard of it. I believe it exists, but I do not know much about it. It stands like this : One´s soul leaves his physical body and goes into another, possibly younger etc.

I don't believe in it. That would require booting out another soul, which would of course in turn boot out your soul, and in the end your soul would still have to leave. I doubt your Spirit Guides would allow it even if it were possible and as a spirit you would be as capable of being controlled by them as a human can be controlled by another human. Besides, once you're dead you're dead and it would much easier as well as more logical to just move on. Assuming that you could take somebody else's body you would also take their brain so you would not have any of your own memories.

WizardCrim that idea is on naruto, the anime series... you probably saw it from there.

Honestly enough, there is no current way to keep your physical body from deteriorating (a.k.a dieing), but thene again why would we want to live forever? If anything your soul is immortal and it does retain the memory of your past lives so just think of death as "moving day".

When you die you move out of this home called your body, and move to a new home. Either way we will live on but our homes are not meant to last forever so why try?
