Vampirism Blessing/Curse

So i read the article about Vampyre:A Compendium it says that if a vampire dies the soul of the vampire will go to another body and it got me thinking why not stay in the body the body you stayed in was dead anyway so why pick another host/body?

That is the flaw of a fantasy theory.
Vampires, like other humans, reincarnate.
However they do not do so differently at all.
Vampirism is a condition of the body,
not the soul nor the spirit.

It is a curse,
not a blessing,
because there are no definite benefits to being a vampire.
Vampires are not superhuman,
not super intelligent(at least not because of being a vampire),
and they are nothing more then your average human
except that they must feed off the energy of others.

I have actually found that plants,
specifically the California Redwoods,
can have a similar occurrence.
An albino Redwood,
unable to get nutrients required from sunlight,
will sap those nutrients from the surrounding 'normal' Redwoods.
However, an albino Redwood is still a Redwood.

Hmm actually Dae, this might be an interesting thing to study. Perhaps all wild animals have vampiric albinos. it could be a symptom of being albino. the easiest way to test this is to find an albino person on here, as animals would be hard enough to catch, let alone a rare albino specimen. What do you think?

I have a non-vampiric albino wife.
That's what I think. :)
With plants it may be that way
because they need nutrients from the sun
that they can not get while albino,
but with animals I have yet to see vampiric traits
specifically with albino specimen.
I already found it to be an interesting topic for research.

That's generally due to camouflage problems.
If a hunter is all white and hunting in a forest,
the prey sees them and runs away.
If the prey is all white and hiding in a forest,
the hunter sees them easily and eats them soon after.
With humans the problem tends to be skin cancer,
when we're albino our problem is that our skin lacks melanin
and that melanin is what protects us from the UV rays of the sun.
Another problem is fashion.
Allot of humans like white fur,
so albino furies have another predator out there for them
regardless of their species.

Yes i know that. thats why i was wondering if maybe nature copensated for this disadvantage. oh well perhaps plants get vampiric, and animals something else? of course, they could just be royally screwed :)

They pretty much are royally screwed,
especially if I'm wrong and they are vamps.
Being a vampire would make it even harder on them.
Not only would they have a harder time hunting and hiding,
they would also have to worry
about absorbing energy from other creatures.
They'd either do that through blood(feel sorry for the herbivores),
or they would do that psychically,
either way allot of the albino creatures would be screwed.
