This is a near-constant debate in the forums. I think transformation spells belong in the "fantasy magick" category. It isn't possible to change your physical body in such a manner. I cannot stress that enough. The reason? No amount of willpower, or belief, will be able to alter your genetic identity, change your molecular composition or anything of the sort. Many people would say, like one or two of the posts above this, that transformation may be possible through AP and whatnot. I'd spend your time looking into that rather than wasting it on something that is clearly not within our capabilities.
I'm no expert but It would be possible to change your instincts, maybe your habits but not anything like changing youself into mandating beast. Plus anyone that wants to change into a vampire or werewolf has been paying too much skyriml
Transformation on the physical plane does work. I think it depends on each individuals power. Working spells helps one build their power. Also, when I was digging up yucca plants in my mom's yard when I was about eighteen, I decided to experiment. My first book on Wicca was by Gavin and Yvonne Frost. There was a paragraph that said if a person could obtain a Yucca root and make it into a hoop and leap through it they could change into any animal they wanted to @ will. I tried it and my neighbor saw what I had done and asked me what kind of animal I would like to be and I said , a wolf. She turned and walked away and laughed and said, "okay. But you are already one. " that told on her too. You can make yourself look like any animal. You won't see it if you look in a mirror but someone else can. I have done it and it scared people that I worked with.they told our boss and she told me to watch myself. The coworkers didn't know she was also a witch. I have seen her render herself invisible. She has been practicing witchcraft since childhood and is 57 now. Owlfootwolf
