Contacting non-human dead

Is there a spell out there to contact animal spirits? You see, I have the ability to converse with cats, and my best friend (A red point siamese)died some years ago, and I would like to speak with him. Mostly because I miss him.

if he was your familiar or had any magical abilities, he would've come back to you... i know from experience. my american shorthair died and he came back to me straight away...

if he was cremated it will be easier to get his spirit back... but my cat came to me i didnt go to him. also, charcoal is teaching my new cat to be my familiar while im at school. at night, i let both of them sleep in my bed with me. they curl up together...
