Hey it's Barbarious here.
Now before you move on, I want to make it clear that I've witnessed alot of immature behaviour from alot of young people on these forums. If you are one of these people, please prevent yourself from posting on this thread.
Ok.. So basicly last night I stayed up till 2 studying. I went off to bed afterwards at 2.
While I was trying to sleep, I began hearing growling noises comming from my altar.. It was like someone or something was there trying to intimidate me.. It was trying to speak words in a really deep tone. A few seconds later it continued to make those noises, and I began getting very awkward energy vibes. I've got what you call.. Sensitive energy. I'm really sensitive to energies(Long story, I'll explain it to you via Private messaging). I got pressures around my body, it felt like I was being pushed down. Then a minute later, I got tingaling sensations from the same direction.. The energy stopped, but the noise was still going on.
I decided to just ignore the noise, and head to sleep. I was asleep at that point until I felt a massive pull that felt like my astral body just pulled itself down really fast, it felt like I was falling at a really fast rate. And thats when I woke up. The noises it was making were still there, but began fading away after an hour or so.
So I took pictures of what I thought it could've been comming from, and here they are:

I only got this baby blessed a couple of weeks ago.. Although I truly don't trust it. Voodoo spirits may visit my doll according to a practitioner, but there has been no reports of voodoo spirits making growling noises, or any noises at all.

I.. Really don't know why I still have this, but apparently it's bad to throw crystals out. So I decided to keep it. This.. Has a REALLY big and visible aura, it only takes 2 seconds of starring into it and it becomes really cloudy.
Why its black? I don't know. Negative energy perhaps?
I want to know what it is, and what it could be capable of. Incase something goes wrong in the near future. Normally, I'm never intimidated by spirits, because I respect them.
Well obviously something on your altar attracted it (and it's obviously a dark spirit). If you have items such as reversed crystals and vodu dolls then that would project a negative aura of energy around it and that may attract something malicious such as a ghost, demon, vampire, shadow being etc. and if your astral body is 'falling' then that's REALLY bad! It could be a poltergeist ghost or psi vampire, when they attack apprantly your astral body is supposed to be damaged so badly you can never astral project again and will be condemned as a ghost after death or some other creature was in the process of killing you and your astral body was about to escape (which is what happens during death) yet then those energies stopped, the creature's probably toying with you.
I'd say you do a protection ritual over your altar and bless all items that have been cursed with negative energies straight after a spell.
First off, bury the Amethyst and the doll baby. I know it hurts to do so, but it's better to be over-cautious than not cautious enough. Even if it's not those items attracting the spirit, still better safe than sorry.
Bury them off of your property or leave them at a crossroads. Afterwards return home a different way than when you came and speak to no one. Take a spiritual bath as soon as you arrive back home. There are lots of ways to take a spiritual cleansing bath - check online or i or others can give you techniques/recipes.
Next, do a thorough spiritual cleansing of your home. This includes making up a spiritual floorwash, washing your floors and woodwork, sprinkling the carpets, wiping down the windows and door frames, moving from top to bottom, back to front, out through your front doorstep, praying all the while. Again, there are certain "right" ways to do this. I have a good article, and you could also search the internet for techniques.
After cleansing, then you need to lay down protection. One simple way is to lay down pinches of salt in each corner of each room and a large handful of salt at your front doorstep. I would not stop at this, though. There are tons and tons of other house protections such as handing feng shui mirrors, witch balls, and my favorite: St. Michael images. I also like to hand up a natural botanical curio called a Devil's Pod over each door. Bad spirits don't go near those things! Some folks add a square of camphor in each room with dressed candles. You can anoint the wood with Fiery Wall of Protection oil, burn incense, etc. There are also spiritual supplies (bath products, incense, oil) named Cast Off Evill or Run Devil Run which would surely be halpful. Basically, once you spiritually clean your home you then have a blank slate from which to build up your protection.
Folks have had great success sleeping with night water - basically a glass cup which is only used for this purpose: fill it with fresh water each night and then place it by your bed or under your bed while you sleep. First thing upon waking in the morning, toss the water in the toilet, flush it, and then thoroughly rinse the glass out. Repeat every night. This greatly reduces the disturbances.
After spiritually cleaning your home, setting up protection, you'll then want to work on setting up your own personal protection: spiritual baths, amulets, energy/prayer work, etc.
Sorry for the novel... i'm having to stop myself short as is. The nice thing about psychic protection work is it is relatively easy to be effective and to get relief. Best of luck.
