You can create your own summoning using energy ( Takes a lot of devotion and time though ) or you can make a pact with a certain being. After a while you learn how to not only summon it to certain places in the astral plane but to physical plane as well, giving your being a physical body.
Summoning a being into physical body in this physical plane is a high level technique though and not something you would like to start your training with.
