Botanomancy

Botanomancy is a form of divination by means of the burning of leaves, herbs and tree branches(Something that most of us do)

In Botanomancy omens were typically drawn from the smoke and ashes generated by the burning of branches and leaves.

Other forms of botanomancy is a Botanomancy, words were written on leaves (especially sage and fig leaves) which were then exposed to the wind. The leaves not blown away contained the response to the query.

Cultures who practiced this form of Divination: Babylonians,Greeks,Scythians,Romans,Arabians, and others.

They took herbd and tree branches and burned them to see what might happen in the future or in the present.

now i get it thanks priestess.

So I have a question about this..... how would the ashes, etc tell the future....by the smoke, shape of ashes or the patterns.....if they never finish burning?
