Hello everyone, i dont know if anyone is living on the east coast of the US. But for anyone who is on this site that does i hope you all will be okay and do your best to prepare for this storm that is heading in. I am not sure exactly what category Hurricane Sandy is in right now but still a hurricane can be just as dangerous no matter the size of the storm. May all my blessings go out to those who are in the path of this storm.
What does everyone think about Hurricane Sandy? Are you living on the east coast?? What are your thoughts??
Thanks for caring. I live in manhattan and we're closing everything down so its pretty bad. I'm hoping it doesn't get too destructive because the last time we had a big storm, my friends place was messed up. At least there's no school.
Thank you. I live the next state over neko, yeah we got hit hard with irene. Tree almost fell on the house. darn hurricanes :/ its that global warming.
No. Hurricanes are a natural cause. The ocean water has to be warm enough to fuel the hurricane. Then, when hot and cold air mix, there has to be wind to move the hurricane. After a while, it gets strong enough to move itself.
I live in Brooklyn. I just hope everyone will be ok. They shut down all transit and closed schools. Sandy is pretty quiet for now but we all know what they say about the quiet ones.
I have a few friends in New York City. They evacuated where one of my friends are, and he's thinking of staying. 175mph winds have been seen with this hurricane and many homes have been destroyed where it has hit and some killed in other countries. What doesn't help is there is a large winter storm coming down to New York at the same time and the two storms will collide. My thoughts are with those that will be hit by this storm and I recommend if you can, to leave. It is historically the worst hurricane of the Atlantic on record.
Yes please be careful ive heard the terms supercell and perfect storm thrown around alot. Prepare prepare prepare. And please let it be known you make it through it ok.
