Telepathy

Recently I have felt a connection with a friend of mine that allowed me to mentally see her memories and occasionaly hear her thoughts. It's almost as if it is being projected towards me, but she does not practice and does it without knowing it. The same has happened with her brother when I was intentionally trying to test out my new "ability". I was able to describe the scene he was playing in his mind. And then when I was in a group of people yesterday I kept hearing certain things in my head, and when I mentioned it 2 of them stated they were thinking about it. Then I heared something else afterwards and 1 person stated they were thnking about it. Would someone please elaborate on this situation. I am clueless as to what is going on.
