Is there an official magic language? Something specific? I do know Deadric, although that's a language from "Oblivion", I know Krypton, and Atlantean.... But, which language is magic language?
You mean like a language that magick practitioners in every culture can use to comunicate? Or a language that is good to use for spell casting?
For the former, no. For the latter: a lot of people like to use Old or Middle English, Elizabethan English (like Shakespeare and Chaucer, etc) because it has that dramatic, arcane and serious feel. Some people use Latin because a lot of the words we use today come from Latin origin, and so it's like getting to the origin or source of the energy. The reasons for using a different language can range from simple secrecy to tapping into one's "magickal ego", a sort of trigger that tells your brain it's time to get into magick-mode. No language is any more magick than another, so you can even make your own ;D
Darn you must love that game more then me LOL. Anywho any language can be used as long as you understand what your saying. I like a mix of Hebrew, English and Latin myself. Also what type of magick are you wanting to do perhaps experiment with the use of language and how it impacts on the tone of your work.
I mostly use Norwegian. some in English to.
but lately. I'v startet to use a language I don't realy know.
But I mostly somhow understand some of it.
Like I have a summening spell of some type I wrote.
But haven't figured out for what. I most likely know when I wil need it.
(like much other things)
Ahh well i have my own language in a way, which only ever makes sense if I'm in the receptive mood so to speak. To the outside perspective it more then likely sounds like the ramblings of a madwomen but to me perfect sense. In short just go with the flow and see whats good for you.
