I was wondering about the requirements for starting a coven. I have been busy recently, so I have not been able to learn about these things. The FAQ section is somewhat unclear on this topic.
Petrarca would be the one to put you in that position. But that's his choice. On the coven page, I believe you do have a few coven's to choose from, of which you are able to apply for leadership. but you must have no history of gags or bans, and your account must be at least three months old.

Why is it that you want to lead a coven so badly? I am just curious.
Those who are selected for leadership seem to be of novice or higher (in most occasions), they are those that show the highest amount of skill, leadership, knowledge, general care for the community and those who's knowledge bases best match those of the covens.
In school, I was considered a "natural leader." I want to try leading a magickal group.
I believe I could help organize and educate others on this site.
Leading and keeping a coven active is hard work. What do you want your coven to be based around? What are the things you teach your coven? What will everyone learn from you and each other? How can you keep your coven active?
These are just some of the things you need to take into consideration when leading a coven.

To begin with, you have not been a member of this site long enough to even be considered for Coven leadership. You must have been on this site for at least three months for that to happen.
The Site Administrator is the only one who can grant you leadership of a coven. His decision is made based upon demonstrated knowledge of magic, maturity, contributions to discussions on the board, ability to get along with others, etc.
Pushing to take over a coven when you are brand new to the site is unlikely to gain you what you are looking for and might have negative results.
So far you haven't demonstrated any knowledge regarding magic, various magical traditions, spellwork, or anything else. The fact that you were considered a leader in school is immaterial.
