Buckland has written many books on Wicca, especially for beginners, there's the complete book of witchcraft, the witch book, wicca for one... i recommend Wicca for Life by Buckland, it was the first book i read on the subject, and i still visit it on occasion. it starts out slow and picks up the pace after a few chapters once you've got 'the basics' down. so, it'll start with the history of Wicca, the beliefs, the tools, the holidays, rituals, and two initiations [group and solitary] as you get closet to the end of the book, there's chapters on wiccan weddings, wicca in the job, wicca in your daily life. i found a copy at my library, so check there first for any books before trying to buy one. Scott Cunningham's another good writer, but he's less about Wicca and more a witch. [if that makes sense]
things you should do daily, i'd say meditation is the only thing that's universally seen as a daily thing. some people will have a small circle, others will say a chant, it depends. i walk to work, so i spend that time taking in my surroundings, if i see any wildlife [saw a rabbit a few days ago ^_^] what the weather is like, the feel of the sun/rain/wind, and just take it all in. try taking a walk in the park, if you like that, you could make it a daily thing.
to grow stronger with the God and Goddess, as mentioned above, meditate, you will probably feel a connection start to grow as you advance in your meditation. when you start out, you'll be lucky to go 5 minutes without any distractions, so don't get discouraged if there isn't an instant connection. the nature walks is what makes me feel closer to them, might help you as well. [try not listening to music or use your phone, just be aware of everything] the other thing you can do is circles. they can be as often as you like, as long as you want. if i have something important [like thanking the Lord and Lady, or a patron deity] i'll cast a circle on the full or new moon [whichever's closer] otherwise, i just celebrate the 8 sabbats with my coven [or alone if they can't make it] it's mostly due to routine, one day i'll try to celebrate esbats as well. again, up to you, i've met people who celebrate the sabbats, esbats, the two quarter moons, the new moon, and any other occurrence. [an eclipse for example]
to be a successful Wiccan, you need to study. master 'the basics' then put it into practice. as Wiccans/Pagans we are always learning, so the study is never over. you should begin your year and a day training where you'll learn 'the basics'. while doing the year and a day, and onward, you should try to connect with nature, try living a new life where you're more aware of things. the Rede for instance 'Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill, An it harm none do what ye will' simply put says 'don't do harm' this is up for interpretation. if you notice you eat a lot of junk food, this is doing harm to your body, perhaps you feel it goes against the Rede so you change your eating habits, and start eating more healthy foods. [i'm not saying never eat junk food, the occasional is fine, i'm talking about breakfast lunch and dinner with a bag of chips before bed] something many Wiccans debate on is eating meat. myself, we're omnivorous, we should live in balance, not too much meat [but i don't eat tuna or veal] others feel we're killing the animal, so it's against the Rede, and some go a step further and feel we do harm to animals for things like honey and cheese, so they live a vegan lifestyle. again, up for debate. one final, some feel drinking, smoking, drugs, piercings and even tattoos do harm to our bodies, so they refuse to do them either. try meditating on the Rede [quietly contemplate] figure out for yourself what you feel it means.
