Flying spells
By:
Hi, I'm new here, and I do have some questions. I recently read another forum where people were asking if anyone had a spell to make a broomstick fly. And nearly all of them said that it was impossible. But my question is, if there is a spell to make a carpet fly, why can't there be one to make a broom fly? That's what didn't make any sense to me. I found a spell to make a flying carpet, and couldn't find one to make a flying broom.

Just like the above poster stated, no flying spells are possible, whether for a broom or a carpet.

The fantasy section of the website is solely that, fantasy; it is used to increase footfall to the site, very few if any of the fantasy spells on this site will do anything at all.

Just because a spell claims to be able to make an object fly, whether that is a broom or a carpet or your sofa, doesn't mean that it is a "real" spell. There are tons of spells on this site that are sheer nonsense and will never work no matter how hard you try. For instance, none of the spells in the fantasy section will work.

Use common sense. If such spells actually worked don't you think you'd see many of us riding around on brooms or carpets and missing out on rush hour traffic and the hassle of airports.

Don't mind me,

Personal thoughts....

Scientifically there are many creatures that "fly" that don't have wings. But it is because they are so small the viscosity of the air becomes a liquid essentially. Then again let me break it down like this.

Fish swim. Had you been a creature without fins and where only able to scamper the ocean floor you would say "oh they are flying!" Then look at the crab who goes on land and sees the bird...... that is known as perspective. So now there are 2 scenarios where a creature has in its own perspective seen "flight" this is a simple example and in its own needs some context perhaps in the future.

To fly you need enough drag to get you off the ground. To sustain it you need energy. Not to mention the many other problems you will face along the way.

The smaller you are the easier due to the following examples.

Micro world.

The world of micro organisms. Indeed none of them have wings. But they are found everywhere. Food, water, air. Even the far regions of our highest reaches of our planets atmosphere. "I hear you cry." This is once again due to the viscosity of the materials around them due to their literal "micro size"

If there was a spell (unlikely) that would do this. I doubt you'd want to use it. As everyone who saw this phenomenon would do one of three things. 1) demand it be used in war 2) demand your silence 3) need to reproach the knowledge I just used since it seems to be law.

The third seems inconsequential but have that kind of fantasy like power would rewrite the entire world. Especially if anyone could use it.

These are just my thoughts however.

Now levitation and flight are things you can do. But it's in the world of science. Alchemy is something I adore but it's because of my love in chemistry.

As for making things levitate not all things can. But electromagnetic or super conductors are actually natural accuring materials in our universe.

If you read this far hopefully I didn't give you a headache I was just writing my thoughts.
