I've been officially dabbling in the occult since I was 13, but was raised with an awareness of the sanctity of nature since birth. I consider myself non-religious and athiest, much to the chagrin of many, but am fairly well-versed in various related topics. I've been interested in Asatru in particular, lately, but my irriligiousness keeps me from persuing it.
A bit about me: I'm 26, I live in the northeastern USA with my two cats and fiance. I work full time and I'm taking classes...even though they are occasionally interrupted by a lot of physical chronic health problems. Besides magick, I have a lot of interest in psychology, crochet and sewing, cooking, and astronomy.
About my background: I have never been officially part of any group, coven, or organization (partially because I'm extremely shy!) but I've been studying Magick and related topics for over a decade. I consider myself Discordian (which puts zero limitations on what I actually practice and believe, of course), and so much of my scholarly background is in related topics.
Skills: Though I've had quite a bit of practice with Crowley-style Ceremonial Magick, I prefer practical applications of Magick - protecting home and family. I'm a big fan of Kitchen Witchery and its what I use the most. I dabble in crystal use, clarevoyance and other psychic techniques, and simple divination techniques such as the pendulum or the tarot.
Focuses:
- I prefer practical uses of magick over esoteric ones.
- I value the discussion of the philosophical, moral, and functional aspects of Magick.
- I enjoy the study of the scientific and historical aspects of Magick.
