Personal Bio
Name's Liam Elijah, I come from a rural town in county Meath in Ireland and come from mixed heritage. I currently live on the west coast of the US. I studied psychology and environmental sciences and work as a therapist and part time backcountry skills instructor.
What can I say, I'm a lifelong practitioner full of hope and wanderlust. I've been here and there and know my way. I'm a bit nerdy, quiet, and pensive. I'm literary and musically oriented. I've studied and practiced all manners of traditions and paths, and continually educate myself.
The primary paths I follow are; Bhodicitta, Didanawisgi, Ard Drui, Houngan, Hem-Netjer, Ved'ma, Awenydd.
No magic, no god, and no power can faulter the will of the human spirit.
More About Me:
What I currently practice is a lot to answer in a brief statement. I've recently transitioned into a new spiritual philosophy and faith known as Kashra, where i'm known as Sage Ishar. My practices are heavily influenced by Buddhism, Doasim, Voudun, Rootwork, Shamanic Cultures, Native American Paths, and Witchcraft among others.
My core beliefs center around compassion, kindness, unconditional love, authenic action and mindfulness. I tend to be nondiscriminating and do not allow the opinions of others to sway my feelings and faith in anyone I interact with.
I have a flexible and dynamic spiritual philosophy in which I tend to believe there is no one right path or tradition that will allow me to pursue my goals and desires. As an avid hiker and backpacker there is a term that is used frequently; hike your own hike. It basically means do what you do with respect to others and allow others to do as they do. It's okay to find what works best for you which is great for you but not always for others. While I have great respect and admiration for culture and tradition, I personally have developed my own path that is influenced by many and suits my philosophies and beliefs. I welcome questions and discussions but I prefer they be kept intelligent and respectful.
I'm a spirit and energy worker, an herbalist, seer, and conduit. I've studied and practiced extensively in various magical and occult paths for over twenty years.
Outside of SoM and my spiritual life I enjoy nature, hiking, backpacking, bushcrafting, doing almost anything in the backcountry. I'm an avid reader, writer, learner, and educator. I enjoy cooking delicous meals, listening to and creating all manners of music, traveling to new places and seeking out the thrill and excitement of new adventures. I also enjoy the company of friends, loved ones, and new people.
May the gods guide and protect you; and be with you in all the empty places you must walk!
