111 Spiritual Spells from Divine Spirits

Place the cork in the bowl of water. Place the seven candles in a circle and as you light each one, repeat the following words: “Burn you now with the heat of anger”. Once all candles have been lit, carefully hold the needle with the tongs and slowly place the tip of the needle into each of the candle flames. As you place the tip of the needle in each flame, repeat the following words: “Draw the anger, pierce the flame, draw the anger, pierce the flame, draw the anger, and pierce the flame”.

When you have repeated this process with each candle, drop the needle into the bowl of water with the cork. Quickly extinguish the candles. Take the needle and push it into the cork. As you do, repeat these words:” Anger, I confine you! With this spell I imprison you by the cleansing spirit of the water and by the authority of that spirit plead the air does stop your flight”. Take the bowl of water and sprinkle it lightly around your bed. Then place the cork, with the needle in it, somewhere in the room in which you sleep.

Lay the fabric flat.

Lay each Rose petal on the fabric in front of the candle. In the center of each Rose petal, place an apple seed. Repeat the following words:

As the heat of the flame, so burns the heat of this love between (name the parties). With this molten wax, I seal the love as beginning to end, seed to flower, day to night, sunrise to sunset and moon-to-moon. Let this day be as every day and every day be as this day until the days have come to end at the end of the final moon.

Take the candle and drip wax over the seed in the center of each Rose petal. Do not move the Rose petals. Roll the fabric neatly and secure it with the twine. Extinguish the candle. Tie the packet to the candle with the ends of the twine. Place the whole in a secure and hidden place.

Do not physically move,you are moving only in your mind. As you draw the circle, you see a wall of fire rising from the water, encircling you as you turn. It is shielding you. It is cool where you stand�the water is keeping you cool. In your mind, you continue to turn until you have completed the circle and your shield of fire surrounds and protects you.

When you desire the shield of fire to leave, simply imagine that the light in the water goes dark,the fire will disappear.

If you wish to protect a larger area, imagine that you are pointing and drawing a larger circle. Keep in mind that the larger the circle, the more psychic energy required. In addition, bear in mind that the longer you keep the shield up, the more psychic energy will be consumed. Therefore, this spell can be very draining and must only be used when necessary.

Place your instruments on your altar. Light a plain white candle (unscented), this represents purity, and recite the following ritual:

"O instruments, I conjure thee by the power of the heavenly host and by the elements of Fire, Wind, Earth and Rain. That thou shalt be clean of foul creatures and obtain every virtue unto thyselves. And work in all manners directed from this time on. By the splendor of the planets and the divine miracle of creation mote it be".

Sprinkle your instruments with the consecrated salt and cover them with a piece of clean linen (do not use any other fabric). All your equipment is now charged with positive energy and is ready to be used. If you add any new products please repeat the ceremony for these items...you do not want any outside, negative influences affecting your magick!

The salt you will require for use in this book is common white table salt. When you have cleansed your salt, remember to use it only for your mystical purposes.

Place the salt container (a jar or tin is preferable) on your altar, remove the lid and look at the salt. Let yourself relax completely and while continuing to look at the salt, imagine it glowing with a bright golden aura. Do this for a couple of minutes and then say the following words clearly and out loud:

"My Father, who is in Heaven. Holy is your name. May your kingdom come, may your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give me this and all my days the things I require to live my life to the full. Purify this salt and allow its immense power to work for me, bringing fulfillment to my desires. So may it be".

Meditate for a moment longer and then return the lid to the container. The rite is now complete. Keep the salt with your other equipment and use when required. This ritual needs to be performed only once for each new container of salt that you purchase.

Gather up the items you need, and choose an area where you won’t be disturbed or distracted.

Cast a circle.

Place all 5 candles in front of you, and light them one by one and say the following as one is lit:

Green Candle: “Elements of Earth, I call you near, Balance within me, For unbalance I fear”.

Yellow Candle: “Elements of Air, I call you near, Balance within me, For unbalance I fear”.

Red Candle: “Elements of Fire, I call you near, Balance within me, For unbalance I fear”.

Blue Candle: “Elements of Water, I call you near, Balance within me, For unbalance I fear”.

White Candle: “Elements of Spirit, I call you near, Balance within me, For unbalance I fear”.

Sit in front of the 5 candles and put your arms around yourself as if you were giving yourself a hug. Visualize a white light sweeping from your hands and into your body, balancing everything within you, the good and the bad (be honest). And say this chant 3 times:

“Five Elements I’ve called, Within me they brawled. Balance once more, Spirit fix these four!”

Remove your arms from around yourself, and meditate in front of the candles, 5 minutes at least. Think to yourself of all your positive and negative qualities. Be completely honest with yourself, no matter how much you rather NOT think of your negative qualities.

During this meditation accept yourself completely, the good, the bad, and even the ugly. Balance cannot be attained when within yourself there is unbalance of yourself, when you do not accept your negative qualities you end up accepting more of your positive qualities. Think of it like having good on one side of the scale, and bad on the other, and you pushing your finger on the good side to make it win in weight. Let these two equal out, because without one, there is no other. So unless you plan on completely cancelling out your good and bad qualities, this spell is a keeper!

Let the candles burn themselves out or use a candle snuffer to put them out, release the quarters and close the circle.

Don’t lose the seeds. Safety pin the pouch/cloth to the pillow you sleep on.

Sleep with the pouch/cloth attached to your pillow for seven nights. At the end of the seven nights, remove the three seeds from the pouch/cloth and toss them out your front door.

On the off chance that a spirit is leaving its body and travelling to your home, this will make it impossible for it to enter the house.

3) When needed, the stick is lit and the smoke is directed towards and over whatever needs cleansings.

4) You may use your bare hands to direct the smoke.

Smudge sticks are neat, compact and easily controlled, discreet and mobile.

Smudge sticks tend to smolder long after the flames appear to have died out. Do not leave the stick unattended or out in the open. Rest it fully on a metal tray or dinner plate when finished using it - and do not let it come into direct contact with anything flammable.

Have water nearby as a back-up.

You can use colour paper which matches the candle. Write your petition on the paper. As you write down what you want to accomplish through candle magick – a new job, healing for a friend, a change of residence, a new love affair, etc. – visualize your dream coming true. Visualize the circumstances under which you might be offered a new job, imagine your employer telling you that your salary has been increased or conjure up a vision of your perfect love partner.

When you have completed writing down your petition, carefully fold up the paper in a deliberately slow fashion. Place the end of the folded paper in the candle flame and set light to it. As you do this concentrate once more on what you want from life.

When you have completed your ritual, allow the candle to have completely burned away. You do not need to stay with the candle after the ritual, but make sure that it is safe and that hot wax will not cause damage or fire. Never re-use a candle which has been lit in any magickal ritual. IT should only be used in that ritual and then allowed to burn away or disposed of afterwards.
